I wonder if/because Josh was too insistent in having personnel control they went with this guy?
Your might have an argument re. the fourth-down plays. But they did gain more than 500 yards with a 22-year-old QB who almost exclusively was Roman's invention scheme-wise and led the league in scoring.
Josh but I'd be worried about the elephant in the room Stephen Belichick if I was him.
Let's be clear, Roman had a great year, and is largely responsible for the AWESOME Ravens offense.
However, last night was a disaster. I think that he was 8 points down in the middle of the 3rd. His choice was to pass, pass, pass. That was a travesty, and a gross misuse of Jackson. There was no reason to panic. That offense scored lots and lots with the run and on options throughout the year. That scheme should NOT have only been for when the Ravens were ahead.
So, Roman might have been the assistant/coordinator of the year. However, his performance yesterday was just awful.
He’s still in the running to coach the Browns in 2021
When I heard they were looking for a head coach who would buy into Paul DePodesta’s sabermetrics personnel strategy, I knew Josh was unlikely to get the job.
Sabermetrics has never actually worked that well in MLB were statistics actually have far more meaning than the NFL. There is far more in football that is not quantifiable by stats than baseball.
Where are you getting this from? Baltimore was down 8 at the half. Baltimore got the ball first. Baltimore's first drive was 7 runs and 6 passes, and the drive ended because the Ravens failed on a 3rd and 2 run and a 4th and 1 run. The Titans then scored a TD on the ensuing drive, scored a TD following a sack/fumble recovery on Baltimore's first play of their next drive, and took a 28-6 lead.

I stand corrected. I still don't think that a 3 score deficit was cause for the Ravens to pass on almost every down.
There is no team that will take McDaniels over Harbaugh.Haurbaugh was on the hot seat last year, basically fired at seasons end until they went on that run when they benched Flacco for Jackson.
This year they flamed out again and if next year with high expectations they flameout I expect him to be fired.
That's the job for josh.
Patriots won't be in the market for a new OC...
Did this forum say that for the Panthers or Giants? Those would have been fine organizations to land in.
The Browns have a culture of losing that starts at the top. They, the Redskins, and the Jets are probably the only teams where losing is institutionalized. Any other team would be a good spot for his next move.
Have seen some good things out of Steve Belichick though. Needs lots more time of course but wouldn't be shocked if the Kraft family wanted to continue doing things the Belichick way, especially if Bill wanted to step backward into a Caserio-like role at that time. They could always decide to go in another direction, of course, but the last 20 years have given plenty of reasons to stay the course if it the option presents itself. You folks are aware that it’s Coach Belichick and not Emperor Belichick. His position is not his to bequeath to his son. Crown Prince Jonathan might have something to say about it.
Brady is going no whereNow we find out how tightly Brady is tied to Josh. There are still reasons he may want to look elsewhere. With a tight salary cap space, several holes to fill (especially on offense) and a tough schedule, 2020 looks like a retooling, maybe even a rebuilding, year.
Wowwwwwwww. Reports coach needs to show game plan to owner & geeks every Friday. Hahaha. Dodged a bullet.
