Report: Brady and Gisele are Divorcing

Jesus, for how long are you going to avoid the obvious?
Because marital issues consist of more that one thing. If it were just football two intelligent, collaborative people like those two would have found a solution. My point is it's a vehicle to a deeper issue. Keep thinking is just football if you want to keep it simple

That's lazy thinking. Sorry. Marital issues are complex.

Why was Nolan Ryan's wife ok with him playing? How about Gordie Howe's? There are dozens of examples of pro athletes playing into their forties and their wives being ok with it.

I was thinking about that in regard to married NFL coaches, who pretty much live their jobs 24/7/365. In most cases like this I think the wives know what they're signing up for, i.e. a traditional role managing the home front. Gisele was/is career-oriented herself, which brings an entirely different dynamic to the equation.

English, please…thanks.
hadn't not haven't, you got me. Now get back to your sanctimonious moral outrage over how a man past his early 30's is the devil for working too much and Bill Belichick doing the same thing can't be talked about in a Patriots forum of all places. Cripes Nolan Ryan, Gordie Howe and a number of other people have been brought up. that's ok with you though, lol

Yep and so is Tom. No question.

My question is her net worth has gone up a ton since shes been hitched to Tom. She's launched numerous product lines and sits on boards. It's not like she put her life on hold. She's lived.

I didn't say it was just football. I said it's Brady's problem when it comes to leaving football and living without playing.

Tommy Boy has a big problem and any thinking person has known about it for years:

"In that book, Wickersham chronicled Brady’s dogged mental pursuit of perfection in the NFL and the toll it had sometimes taken on his marriage to Bündchen. Portions of Wickersham’s book also foreshadowed possible issues moving forward as Brady attempted to grapple with his exit from professional football and what would ultimately fill the void left behind."

So why else are you going around four different threads gigging like a schoolchild commenting and emojing on every post related to this?

"Giggling like a schoolchild," you say? No, my sense of humor deals primarily in irony and satire. And no way have I commented on or "emojid" every post in what you suggest are four threads. That would take all night to catch up with your breathless defense of TB12's alleged sainthood.

Most people as they grow and have families experience a change in their priorities and what matters most and it might bother her that he hasn’t changed his priorities at all Even after 13 or so years of marriage. He may post the right things on social media but the actions simply aren’t there.

That doesn't mean playing football leads to a divorce
Something like half of all marriages end in divorce and I suspect that percentage is probably higher for people in the public eye. Getting divorced is not necessarily anyone's fault, sometimes people just grow apart (to be clear: sometimes it is one spouse's fault, but not always). Quite honestly, I think getting divorced is far more healthy than staying in a loveless marriage.

Human beings are just disappointing. I found their relationship beautiful. Whatever. Unless Brady has done an Udoka, it will be irrational for Gisele to want this but maybe it is Brady that want to be separated? Who ****ing knows.
Yet freaking Guerrero is still around?

Sad to hear the news. In two months my wife and I are celebrating 45 years. It wasn't easy and I'm pretty sure that I spent more time away from my wife and kids than Brady does.

I'm in line with @RobertWeathers on this one. It was more than football that ended things, if they do end up divorced.

From a football perspective, which is mostly what I care about, I hope it's not too much of a distraction for Tom. On the flip side it may prolong his playing career, which is a plus. Remarkably there's zero decline in his play and now he can make more of an independent decision about continuing to play (without the hassle and massive guilt trip being thrown at him by G).

Regarding the supposed divorce itself, there's no way it's just about football.

It was a long time ago but I remember Ron Borges( I know, I hate him too)...

es

There's an idea for a thread. While it's a given Ron Borges is hated by almost everyone not named Ron Borges, who hates him the most? We could see which member of Pats Fans most loathes the old fraud and who can best articulate their contempt for that piece of excrement.

Kraft. He HATES him.

How will we know? Brady isn't about anything but football.

Kraft. He HATES him.

Yep and about the only thing guaranteed to make BB smile would be watching Borges fall down a flight of metal stairs.
But I suspect neither Kraft or BB are regular denizens of PF. So enough of me talking about how much BB hates Borges, I'd prefer to hear how much YOU hate that DB.
