13-3 record

I stopped reading when bob predicted Steelers to beat NE in foxboro.

First of all, Brady owns the Steelers, especially in foxboro. Once every 5 years, Steelers manage to squeak one out at home over the patriots but usually they get destroyed especially in foxboro

Secondly, without brown and bell...Pittsburgh will stink!

Laughable prediction

Currently thinking 13-3 with losses at Miami, vs the Jets (our wtf game of the year), and at Philly.

Some posters (no one who posts regularly) will think I'm wrong, but that 2008 Steelers game is a lot closer if it's later in the year. And the Steelers won the SB that year.

You do realize that the 2008 Steelers game was November 30th right?

And it followed a game where Cassel threw for 400+ yards and put up 48 points on Miami.

Clubber Lang says “pain”

So it’s gotta be 19-0

Pats drop an early game in Miami, win all home games, and drop a couple of road games after the bye. 13-3 record and HFA.

Steelers W
@ Dolphins L (loss to former assistant coach)
Jets W
@ Bills W
@ Washington W
Giants(thurs) W
mini bye
@ Jets(mon) W
Browns W
@ Ravens W
bye
@ Eagles L
Cowboys W
@ Texans L (doubt they lose but wtf)
Chiefs W
@ Bengals W
Bills W
Dolphins W

Aside from Steelers, Chiefs, Eagles, and Browns, this schedule looks pretty soft. At MIA is always a toss up.

12-4
one loss on the road within the division (probably Miami)
one loss to an NFC East team, our cross match-up this year
one loss to one of the AFC first place slotted teams from last year
one WFT loss, likely happening early

@ Dolphins L (loss to former assistant coach)

What is Belichick’s record for first games against assistant coaches? It feels like it’s terrible, but I’m just going from a general sense, I haven’t looked. And if it is terrible I wonder why.

Yes, and the Pats were better at the end of the year.

12-4 is generally always my guess. Drop a random game against a crappy team. Drop a division game. Drop a road game. Drop the game in Miami.

With that analysis They could go 14-2

Drop a random game against a crappy team ( Miami)
Drop a road game ( @ Miami)
Drop a Division game ( Miami)
Drop the game in Miami..

That's only 2 losses, both to Miami...LOL

Just so lucky to have a team that can honestly expect to win 12 games and get to the playoffs. I remember before BB and TB and RK and do not ever want to go back to that again.

I feel like whenever we have these prediction threads, 12-4 should be outlawed. It's just such a standard year for them, it means more to go out on a limb and predict higher or lower than that.

Agree. It could easily be a four part poll:
1. Bad season - 9 or lower
2. Below average season - 10/11
3. Very good season - 13/14
4. One for the ages - 15/16

It's interesting how in the BB era the team has had every possible winning record but one....

9-7- 02
10-6- 05, 09
11-5- 01, 18
12-4 - a few
13-3- a few
14-2- a few
15-1 NONE
16-0 - 07

There are only two non-division games I'm worried about: @Baltimore and @Philadelphia. Add in a random loss or two against Buffalo and Miami...12-4.
I'm not worried about Baltimore. They lost a lot on defense, have to see what their new defense looks like. Run Pass Option? Let's see how teams respond. They looked lost in the playoffs last year.

I say 13 wins this year, and 2 of the losses with be WTF losses.....

That breakdown is why 10-6 (which is still a respectable NFL record) would shock me. We haven't had a record that bad in 10 years, and it was Brady's first back from major injury. That's incredible.
