Horrible playcalling and horrible special teams once again was our downfall in this one. Not to mention you can add horrible hands of the receivers in this one too.

We lost the game in this one in a fashion that we never lose in. Constant dumb play ended up costing us badly.

Can't run the ball. We have a 38yr old qb who is getting smooshed. Gotta find a way to run the ball. Gotta do it, look at Carolina. Their run game sets up patty cake throws. Why would anyone fall for a play fake from this team. Clue, they aren't!

Running game is gone once edelman went along with lewis. Those short throws were their running game. Pats are really missing a good 3rd down back one of their critical playmaking positions.

I don't think the onside kick had anything to do with the defense. Overall the defense played fairly well only giving up 14 points (although the Eagles' offense wasn't on the field for the 3rd quarter).

I think Belichick thought if the Pats recovered the onside kick, it would have been a dagger in the heart of the Eagles. When you are up 14-0, it is a stupid risk.
