Hmm. Someone may want to archive http://wellsreportcontext.com/ before it goes offline. For that matter, it may be telling to see how long it remains up since Kraft doesn't want to prolong the debate. If it stays up for a while it's probably a sign that the team still thinks the report it wrong, but didn't see viable legal means to strike back. (Obviously, something we disagree with...)

Edit: Also will be interesting to watch the long-term careers of people connected to this. Will Wells be hired the next time the league has a mess to clean up? Are Kensil & Co. going to continue to be given high level duties? There was no way Goodell could back out here and now given how PR focused he is, but if some of those people involved start getting golden parachutes once the heat dies down a bit it will be a tacit admission that the office screwed up. It just won't be anything we can feel good about or even really know for sure was connected.

If there is a deal and the ban overturned I want Brady to sue for defamation of his character and make it a personal one against Goddell and not the NFL. Brady has apparently in a vote lost 20% of his fans over this.

I think it's the timing of the tighty whitey flag that he showed Goodell etc.

This has absolutely disgusted me. I just have no words. Kraft has pissed me off so much I'm not even sure I can stand watching the team even if or when Brady comes back. I mean what's the point when entire legacies are ruined in an instant like this. Hard work going unappreciated. I hope Brady leaves the team. Whatever. Like Halifax said, you can still watch the team and not respect the owner. IF someone wanted to stop watching I wouldnt blame them. The whole league is a joke and the media makes it 100xs worse.

Look at the Bruins for years. Die hard fan base under Jeremy Jacobs when he was hated. And they never won a championship when that was going on.

And it changed after they traded Bourque and with other failures.. The fans stopped going.

I rooted for the team when that awful Kiam owned it. But Kraft miraculously has left a worse taste in my mouth. Why? Because Kiam's actions simply crapped all over himself. Kraft's unforced capitulation has crapped over the legacy of the team, the fans, and most importantly BB and Tom Brady.

I hear ya...I don't blame yout at all. The more I think about it, the more it bothers me for different reasons.
