It's pretty messed up as Rehbein would write in his journal of things he saw Tom do in practice and how much he believed in him. It only mentions Adams mentioning it from Bill. More detail should've been focused on the drafting of Brady.
I guess I am looking at it as there's 8 more episodes, maybe it's in there later.

The play was ruled a fumble. Then overturned by replay. That's it. In reality, there's nothing special about it at all except the timing of it.

A rule that was in place for many years was correctly implemented.
Everyone thought it was a fumble because it used to be. But then the NYFL decided to come up with something "better." It's so funny too because I remember the same thing happening to the Pats and other teams, before and after that game.

The fact that the rule got changed back 10 years later only makes it sweeter. I'll forever be able to rag on the big, tough Raiduh fans for being such perpetual crybabies that the NYFL had to change the rule to pacify them. Throw in the fact that the game jump started the Pats to the greatest dynasty of all time and it's like Christmas.

Here's a couple of Raiduh fans now...

I have no problem at all with Kraft doing this video. He's the owner of the team. Plus, I didn't see anyone with a gun to their head in the video. I know Bill didn't look especially happy but when does he?

Come on! Kraft was just trying to hold it together the best he could.

The intent of the tuck rule was to make it less subjective as there is a clear line of demarcation. It's a forward pass until the ball has been tucked away.

Now I believe it's more subjective as to when the ball has passed the point of being a forward pass.

As grey as the rule is now I think it makes sense to let the refs have some judgement rather than establish a clear line of demarcation that so obviously goes beyond what a forward pass is.

It was correctly interpreted at the time and I love that its the Raiders fans who get to go to their graves crying about it but they do have a point and the rule is probably better now at least until some ref blows it with poor judgement.

I actually generally think the refs are pretty good when weird rules aren't getting in the way. And when New York and dare I say Vegas stay out of the way too.

Eff them and the RTP penalty, they got what was coming. Things even out over time.

I just rewatched the BB documentary "A Coaching Mastermind" and it was really interesting to see the dynamic between him and Kraft even in 2009. Seemed like Bill didn't like interacting with Kraft at all (personally, I don't blame him.)

Not really on this whole "**** on BB on his way out" stuff. Any "fan" who can't appreciate what he did for this organization might literally be both deaf and blind.

This "it's run its way" pisses me off the most of any takes on the debacle of Brady's treatment.

**** like this implies the Krafts could not do anything about it which is a lie.

Why would BB have been fired if the team didn't win the SB in 01?

What had Bledsoe shown in the previous few years that he was capable of taking them anywhere? Didn't the team play much better in four months with Brady than anything Bledsoe did in the prior two years?

To me, the team played better and Brady showed promise. One fumble to lose a game in January should not have been a reason for Bill to get axed.

Kraft probably could have done something, but Brady’s problem was Bill and any way to keep Brady meant overruling Bill and creating more conflict with him. Right or wrong, Kraft let Bill do things his way likely betting on the idea that Bill would be a longer term investment. He played it wrong and Bill bottomed out and Brady looks golden now. So now he has an incentive to say “the problem was the Brady and Belichick relationship and choosing Bill meant Brady was gone”.

And honestly, who wouldn’t do that if they were him. Now that Bill stunk up the joint you have people who can’t hold him accountable for anything making dumb comments that Kraft was secretly interfering and every bad move was on him.

The bottom line is that Brady had a problem with Bill, Kraft had to make a choice. He chose Bill. He was wrong on that one.

This guy is as bad of a Twitter follow as Matt Chatham. Absolutely embarrassing levels of Bill ass kissing.

Is Volin really a Belichick ass kisser or is he just siding with Belichick because he is no longer with the team. Volin has desperately tried to be this generation's Ron Borges for years. He used to side with Brady against Belichick. He is just a contrarian. If Jonathan pulled a power play and forced his dad out of ownership, Volin would be the biggest Robert ass kisser.

Volin talking about the copyright being under Kraft Dynasty LLC is stupid. My guess is that the Krafts have an LLC named Patriots Dynasty and it is a different company handling a different aspect of them promoting the Patriots' dynasty. I bet Kraft has literally tens or hundreds of LLC for different aspects of his Patriots business. He probably created this one for this aspect of the business. And the only purpose of this LLC is solely for this one series.

The Kraft Group is a multibillion corporation and they have different companies underneath that unbrella for everything. I bet when you go to Gillette for the game, you utilize about a half dozen to a dozen different Kraft LLCs.

Volin is just dumping on a team not name red sox as per globe instructions

It's not the refs though, it's Troy Vincent who makes the decision in the NFL front office, or whoever has that job now if Troy has left.

Agree with all that. The key here is "he made a choice". Don't give me any crap about it ran out and nothing to be done. All hogwash PR.

Right. The intent of the rule was to give the refs a demarcation point and I remember explaining that to a friend at the time. It actually made some sense.

Every single time I saw that rule come into play, and there were plenty of times, my first reaction was that it was a fumble but it was never called that way. The last one I remember was when Tony Romo fumbled the same way as Tom and the Eagles scooped it up and scored, only to have it called back. In the Raiduhs game it was exactly how the rule had been played out so many times, maybe even for the Raiduhs, so they didn't have a point at all.

Speaking of Vegas, I just heard the numbers and they made a little over 8 billion last year just from gambling on sports. And that was part of the 55 billion spent nationwide. Thank God I had Jim Zorn and Steve Largent help me end my gambling. It's absolutely a losing proposition.
