Danny Woodhead has a new home: he's agreed to a two-year deal with the Chargers, reports @MikeReiss.

I know u have to say in BB we trust...but wow....this guy was one of the only bright spots in SB 2011...Almost won the damned game by himself. Was huge for us last year...does gd job picking up blocks...incredible heart. Have no idea what they didn't like or value about the guy

His play was superior in a lot of ways to Vereen - I think Danny was definitely more dependable.

But between Washington and Vereen and Woodhead someone had to go. Vereen still has years on his contract and Washington is a far superior kick returner.

Super bummed because I think Woodhead was one of our most reliable guys who you could count on to make stuff happen.

They're rebuilding our offense. Everyone complained about it but now that they're doing it we're having to say goodbye to some folks we loved.

I wish him the best of luck, its hard not to be a Danny Woodhead fan... He just comes to work, doesn't complain, says all the right things and fills his role well. I hope you got some cash from the Chargers Woodhead, you deserve it!

Let's get more explosive players on the field, the more playtime Vereen gets, the better.

Ah, bummer. Had to love the guy while he was here — so tough and so reliable. The Jets-castoff thing made him even more likable. Onto the more athletic Vereen, who showed some of what he has last year and hopefully will keep it going.

Woodhead was clutch in big games and a go to guy on 3rd down.
I'll miss him as a fan but I'm looking forward to the revamped offense.

Danny came here and improved his pass catching and blocking ability ... one of my favorite players and it was odd being comforted knowing he was back there protecting Brady because he was real good at it.

I hope he has a few more good years and a few more after that ... he's a success story.
