Rapoport: Patriots quietly bring in Lamar Jackson for Pre Draft Visit

But he did bad on some wonderlic test surely he can’t run our offense even is he did in college
Its draft season. Most haven't watched him & have opinions, which is fine. Lets be honest theres a ton of group think on here, most dont want to be in the minority. There really, 100% isn't anything wrong with that. Im just different I guess.

So much potential here but how about you never do anything to have to say ^^^^^^^^^

I can't control how someone with a sick mind perceives something. Never even crossed my mind that it could be taken that way. You can either choose to believe that I was advocating child rape. Or you can take it as the joke it was obviously meant to be. That's not on me.

I was joking
I dont have a sick mind I have kids

The Pats don’t seem like the kind of team that’s going to let that amount of interest in a player leak to the public. This smells like a move designed to try and get another team to move up for him so that someone else falls.

Eh, I think the four dimensional chess stuff is overplayed. They can only schedule so many visits. There's probably interest. Whether that means the player will even be available at that pick or if that player will be the most highly rated available when they pick is another question. I don't think they really have much to gain from a smokescreen.

Bill could have easily called 1 of 1000 reporters and had them put out something if he really wanted to create something like that.

I don't follow college football. So I don't know any of these kids. But when someone is talking about a young QB and they mention that he has to change his throwing mechanics the alarm bells start going off in my head. That is a very, very bad sign for a QB.

It's true to a greater or lesser degree of just about every single college quarterback, including the truly great ones. It's why they pay quarterback coaches big bucks.

Coincidentally the quarterback I think was probably most mechanically sound in the last decade coming out of college was Johnny Manziel. He could set while running full speed, enlisted his hips well, and never took a wrong step. Well, on the football field at least.

"I dont have a sick mind I have kids"

Yet you are the one who thought of child rape at a completely benign joke. I know there were some real scumbags here. But to imply that someone is a pedophile because of an obvious joke is a new low. Even for you people.

At best it was a very bad joke, at worst you were creepily calling a minor "hot." You probably shouldn't post.

I think we should just forget about it.
It was a akward joke about saying she was hot I should of completely realized and understood it was a joke.
I was trying to be humorous and sort of questioning your age because I don't know it or anybodys on here.
It I offended you I humbly apologize.
At work we always give each other crap and it goes both ways didn't mean to upset you by my comment.

Again I just don't think we waste his & our time when he was the only QB we brought in to the building.

Heck, the fact that he's the only QB they brought in might make it less likely that they're going to draft him.

Many college need to refine their mechanics when going to the pros. Think productivity, the kid won the Heisman at 19 years old. He has played in a pro style O HE is only 19 years old with huge athleticism and upside.

I would think the main reason that he was brought to NE to meet was to gauge his ability to understand the mental aspects of the game. A couple of hours with Bill and Josh and I would suspect that they will know all they need to know about whether he can absorb this offense and process the field. The Wonderlick score notwithstanding is just a number or indication of mental acuity.

They used a visit on Braxton Berrios. So, yes, there could be "interest," but that isn't at all the same as thinking "he's worth a first-rounder" to them.

Heck, IIRC, they brought in Connor Barwin (patron saint of binkydom), and then decided he wasn't worth drafting at 34, 40, or 41.

The rest of the post you quoted says exactly what you're saying here...

That's not what I saying. I don't the Pats are letting anything leak they don't want out there. The smoke etc is from people in the media and others that recognize the fit, not the Pats.

New England doesn't need to be seen drooling of him. There just needs to be intrigue & there was already plenty of that surrounding Lamar & New England to make teams think & rent space in their head.

Again I just don't think we waste his & our time when he was the only QB we brought in to the building.

It's not a wasted trip to bring him in and pick his brain even if they don't have plans to draft him. It puts disinformation out there (which, as Kirwin will tell you, is effective on multiple fronts for the draft) and it lets you get a chance to pick the brain of a guy that you may have to play against every year (and maybe even twice a year). This is disinformation, IMO. This got leaked purposefully.
