Didn't I hear an exPatriot player was supposed to be playing for the Vikings and be a key to the game? Anyone notice who that was?

Great job scheming the running game by OBrien. The quick inside trap worked great and we ran it more than I have ever seen us do.

McCourty is learning on the job and getting better every week.

Run D is becoming a tremendous strength for this team. I dont know or care what the final stats were, the D did a great job against Peterson.

Ninkovich is really starting to grow on me. Since the flailing missed tacjled vs Mr Classy he has been steady and reliable.

Did Jared Allen play? Some people on this board owe Matt Light a comment or two.

Myron Pryor may have answered the wishes of millions of people and ended Brett Favre's career. I think thats a broken jaw, and by the time he could play, the Vikings will be out of it.

Great job of tackling by the D. I dont think most people realize how hard it is to stop a guy 2 yards in front of the sticks in the open field, I seem to remember a bunch of those tonight.

anyone else worried that the sports media will call Pryor's Hit Illegal cause of who her hit and what happened to him

Hey, anybody think that Bill Belichick is the best coach in football? Anybody wonder about the value of a good coach?

mine would be:

- I think I found who's jersey I'm going to buy next: #32. You can SEE him getting better each and every week. And to think, Bodden is on IR and will be back next year to go alongside him. Anyways, I'm becoming a huge fan and think, based on his film study and steady progress, will be borderline "shutdown" (i hate that word) by the end of the season.

- Much like Devin, the defense as a whole continues to improve each week.

- I wish the offense had more of a sense of urgency earlier in games. I would think the 2 TE offense would be fairly effective with both Gronk and Hern in there, but surprisingly not so much....until the second half.

- BJGE was awesome today. I hope that he can keep a bit of that up.

- I would hate to finish without mentioning Mayo. Obviously...awesome as usual!

Ninko had a HUGE tackle on a third down play that easily could have been converted. He also got some pressure on Favre and played a really solid game.

McCourty was awesome. Arrington didn't terrify me. Things are coming together.

And for what it's worth, held the Vikings to 4 of 11 on 3rd down (36%), 1 of 2 on 4th down (50%).

I have almost no doubt they will fine him.

I don't know, Pryor didn't come close to hitting farve in the jaw. It was a perfectly executed tackle, just what the NFL wanted.

- Danny Woodhead wins the Patriots Halloween Contest today. He went as Kevin Faulk. Perfect costume almost thought I was watching him today especially on the direct snap TD. I am sure Rex is kicking himself for letting him go even if he never dressed for a Jets game.
- McCourty had a shutdown performance today. You expect a game like this from a seasoned pro, not a rookie in his seventh game.
- I really hate Gary Guyton now.
- Mike Wright is quitely having a great stretch and has been a big reason the pass rush has improved.
- Kudos to the o-line that got so much crap last week (deservedly so) by redeeming themselves today.
- I would have liked to see Randy Moss play today. It would have added a little more drama for the game. What?!? He did? Looks like Belichick might have seen that Moss is deep on the back 9 of his career.
- The offense really played stellar after an uninspired first half.
- BJGE has proved me wrong for the most part and has been a lot better than I thought he could be.

Also important is fighting on each play. This team has fight, on every down. That 4th down stop at the end of the 1st half was amazing. Heart. That is everything. Heart.

I have almost no doubt they will fine him.

The hit was perfectly legal. If he is fined, I think proves the league LOVES Brett and his junk!

Thoughts...The end of the world must be at hand. Twice today i heard Tom Jackson praise the Patriots.

this team is kind of the reverse of last season Ice cold in the first half tearing it up in the second.

Like i said at the start of the year the running game is not nearly has bad as everyone thinks it was going to be.

if we can get Butler trained up and better the secondary is going to be great it amazing

My prediction of 14-2 is looking better and better

OK the foot ball world can stand down from the Farve watch, he can talk, he says hes OK

Please take that muck out of your post. Its been a great day for the Patriots but this is horrible stuff and doesn't belong in a postgame thread.

It sickens me that people are so hateful around here. I'm strongly thinking of leaving the forum over this sort of Jets type garbage.

And Favre had another solid outing against the Patriots 22/32 for 259 yards. He is down for an interception but that was a catch and strip by McCourty imo.

Brady scrambling to his right and throwing across his body (usually not a good idea) to hit Woodhead. Woodhead getting the yeards on 3rd and 12 was the game right there. After that, the game was very comfortable to me .

I'd liek to hear what the analysts say abotu the Patriots now. Clearly, it seems that any part of the team is capable of picking up a game for the Patriots and it will be awesome when all the parts come together.

As a OT topic, just saw Jerry Jones not looking happy on TV. (wonder how much he'll break the bank for a coach next year)

We would be undefeated if we had shipped Moss out sooner, IMO.

Don't know what you guys are talking about. Moss may have been held to one catch, but the amount of attention BB had the defense paying him is why the Vikings were able to work the middle of the field all day.

Please give BJGE the rock, whether the run game is on or not. I want a committment to the run like we saw today. He was outstanding as was the run blocking. Woodhead made a huge play on the 3rd down conversion, WHAT a find these 2 were a UDFA and a street FA.

So much to be happy about, solid performances all around despite a few struggles on both sides. But when plays needed to be made, they were made. Signs of a great team and great coaching. Too many positives that I'll just touch on the negatives right now.

Really unhappy with the illegal contact that cost us 5 points. Great play by Myron Pryor and (another) great red zone stop by our defense ruined by some ticky tack BS. If you want to call that, okay, but then when Welker gets tackled on the following drive and nothing is called the refs should be called out on that. Absolute BS and boy am I lucky I didn't have anything near me that was easily breakable.

Unhappy with BB's decision to pull those QB sneak moves to run 1:20 off at the end instead of just going for the end zone right away. Yeah it worked but what if BJGE is stuffed on 3rd? Vikings get the ball back with over a minute left and down 6. Use every down to try getting in the end zone, the extra 1:20 is meaningless if you're up by 10.

Favre played a great game, that son of a *****. Why the hell does he always have to play us tough after gift wrapping games to our division rivals year after year. It's like against us all of a sudden he realizes that Minnesota has a pretty damn good team overall and if he just plays a solid game manager role they have a great shot in it. If not for some outstanding red zone stands by our D the Vikings may have won this game. That said, best wishes to Favre in recovery

Amazed that we are starting 4 rookies on Defense..

We have quite a few UDFA's or late round picks that are contributing..

BJGE is the real deal..

McCourty is the freaking bomb.. this kid is the next coming of Ty Law, but probably tougher...

This team reminds me of the early decade teams, nothing flashy, very blue collar with tons of complimentary players rotating in and out.. it is difficult to keep track of who is playing on D...
