Just asking.

Just asking.
Good question, crossed my mind this week as well.

If he played for the Steelers or Cowboys dynasties, he would be.

A very legitimate argument can be made here. He was an All-Pro who came up big in the biggest games — he caused Warner’s pick-six, he strip sacked Delhomme which led to a TD, he scored two TDs on offense in Super Bowls including the one pictured. Add two coach of the year award with two different teams, and then a SB championship on top of that?

One would think, but considering it remains to be seen how long it takes Belichick himself to get in, Brady as well - I wouldn't really waste too much time thinking about it right now. Might be worth revisiting again in 15-20 years when he retires from coaching

I apologize. For some odd reason, I’d gotten the obviously false impression that this whole forum was based on wasting time overthinking Pats stuff.

Whatever gave you that idea?

I think it is a little too soon for that though the thought also crossed my mind. He needs a few more years of taking the team deep into the playoffs even if they don't win a SB.

Can people get in based off what you did in both roles, or do you have to get in specifically as a coach or as a player?

I believe it's specific to player or coach. I think then Dan Reeves would get some mention for consideration if it were combined.
