Predictions for Bucs record and Brady's stats 2022

So you’ve got nothing in response…

He’s lucky he played in the league for 23 years and with Belichick 20 of those years. Montana only played with Walsh for 9 years. You tell me who’s more efficient at winning Super Bowls…
The guy who has 7 is the only thing that matters and he went to 10 so 10 conference championships wins to 4...

I'm not going to get into a Belichick/ Brady debate I've already said they both benefitted from each other, but I'm more of a "it's a players game" type of a guy a quote made famous by Belichick specifically

Sure, no one is arguing who has more, but one player had a clear advantage over other...and that's something you know is true

Watching Tampa vs Rams divisional game now on NFLN...LMAO. Tampa just caused a turnover with 2 minutes left and is about to score to tie it. Then they will get their hearts ripped out lol

Lol it's a nice day outside how about go enjoy the hobbies that you like instead of watching your favorite team Tampa Bay.

Yeah, there's a reason for that...

Brady - 318 games (equivalent of 19.8 seasons)

Montana - 192 games (equivalent of 12 seasons)

Oh, and one guy didn't mess up in the Super Bowl - which one was that?
No actually Brady is better and more successful than Montana.

Regular Seasons

QB rating

Brady = 97.6
Montana = 92.3

TD%
Brady = 5.5
Montana = 5.1

INT%
Brady = 1.8
Montana = 2.6

Cmp%
Brady = 64.2
Montana = 63.2

Y/A
Brady = 7.5
Montana = 7.4

Y/G
Brady = 265.8
Montana = 211.2

Postseasons

Montana was the starting quarterback for 13 seasons with 4 Super Bowl appearances (31%).
Brady has been the starting quarterback for 20 seasons with 10 Super Bowl appearances (50%).

Montana is 4-3 in conference championship games (winning percentage of 57%).
Brady is 10-4 in conference championship games (winning percentage of 71%).

Montana was one-and-done 4 times in 11 playoff appearances (36%).
Brady has been one-and-done 3 times in 19 playoff appearances (16%).

Montana led 5 game-winning drives in 23 postseason games (22%).
Brady led 14 game-winning drives in 47 postseason games (30%).

In total that's 10 significant regular season and postseason categories with Brady beating Montana 10-0.

You've got the "luck" part backwards. Belichick got the greatest player of all-time in the 6th round... dumb luck. Belichick has only won with Brady as his quarterback... 0-9 without him. Brady in fact has been better without Belichick and he's in his mid-40's. Three road playoff wins and a dominating Super Bowl victory over the league's best team. Then led his team to their first division title in 14 years with an MVP-caliber season. The best back-to-back seasons of Brady's career (with head coach Bruce Arians).

I guess Bill must be a Bradyite. Obviously.

You don't know much about football, do you? Because anyone with a half a brain knows that quarterbacking in the 80s was way harder than it is today. The rules of the modern NFL heavily favor the QB, which was not the case in Montana's era. So you can compare all the stats you want, but here's one to chew on Tommyite...I know you'll have a Tommy tantrum over it

Quarterback Rating in the Super Bowl (when it counts the most):

Montana - 127

Brady - 98

Doesn't bother me at all. Montana looked great running up the score against yet another completely overmatched AFC opponent in SB 24. Montana won his Super Bowls in an era dominated by the NFC.

Brady slammed the door shut on the GOAT debate with the historic comeback against Atlanta but he lapped Montana when he switched conferences and immediately won the Super Bowl. When Montana switched conferences he went to a team with 4 consecutive winning seasons and 3 consecutive postseason appearances and the closest he got to a Super Bowl was a complete embarrassment in the conference championship game. Brady went to a team with 8 of 9 losing seasons and 13 consecutive seasons without a playoff appearance and he won the Super Bowl (with a clown for a head coach).

Yes it does...which is why you ramble on and on and on....

Another fun fact - Montana too went 18-1 in 1984 like Timmy, except he won the super bowl. Damn, if he only had Jerry Rice and John Taylor that year (or any real weapon for that matter)...

Fun Facts...

Seasons with 30+ TD passes
Brady = 9
Montana = 1

Number of times leading the NFL in passing yards or TDs
Brady = 9
Montana = 2

Seasons with double digit wins
Brady = 19
Montana = 6

Regular Season Wins
Brady = 243
Montana = 117

Postseason Wins

Montana = 16

Super Bowl Rings

Here's another one...

Career pick 6s:

Brady - 18 (including one in the Super Bowl and another one vs Denver that killed our chance at a 3-peat)

Montana - 6

The "one vs Denver" you made up. The one vs Atlanta only made the comeback look that much more impressive.

And speaking of pick 6's, Mac Jones already has 3.

The one in Denver wasn't a pick 6. Watson stopped Bailey and it should have been called a touchback and as for the one in the Super Bowl I'd say he more than made up for that mistake a bit later in the game.

And I have some more interesting stats:

One and dones:
Brady - 1 in every 6.3 postseasons
Montana - 1 in every 2.75 postseasons

Playoff games with passer rating less than 70:
Brady - 1 in every 6.6 playoff games
Montana -1 in every 4.6 playoff games

Record in the playoffs when defense allows 28 points or more:
Brady: .500 (6-6)
Montana: .000 (0-3)

Average passer rating in the playoffs in games when defense allows 28 points or more
Brady: 88.4
Montana: 38.5

Didn't you say Montana was way better than Brady when it mattered most?

What does Mac have to do with anything? You keep bringing him or Bill up when we are talking about Brady...why is that?

Part of the reason why the Pats were down 28-3 was because of Brady's pick 6.

All of Montana's playoff losses as a Niner were to good teams with the exception of the 1987 Vikings. Specifically, the Niners lost to teams that either won the super bowl that year or would win the super bowl shortly thereafter. Brady lost to Denver in 2005, Baltimore in 2009, Jete in 2010, and Tennessee in 2019, four crappy teams, plus he lost to two crappy Giants teams in the Super Bowl.

Montana, as I stated, destroys Brady in Super Bowl rating when it counts THE most. Also, Montana's overall playoff rating is 98 while Brady's is 95. And Montana did it in a much harder era for QBs. You see, Brady has benefitted from football inflation over the past 20 years. The game is much easier to play now.
