If Jakobi participated yesterday but not today, that's a bad sign. After concussions you gradually ramp up activity and look for (and hopefully don't see) signs that you need to shut it back down.

I can see why the CS prefer the Shot Gun: Mac panics at the slightest sign of a breakdown which shows his lack of pocket presence. Until Mac fixes that we could talk until we are blue in the face it won't matter.

So let's say Jones does lack pocket presence (which he was excellent at last year and in college) and panics at the slightest breakdown, why would you have him in shotgun where, as Orlovsky pointed out, makes it more likely for the protection to breakdown. So let's keep him in shotgun and let that protection breakdown and throw caution in the wind.

By your logic, Patricia is still an awful OC and is putting Jones in a position to fail because Jones lining up under center would actually help to minimize what you think are his weaknesses of poor pocket presence and he panics at the first sign of breakdown. But at least we can agree that Patricia is clearly putting Jones in position to fail and the biggest issue with this offense.

Yeah I can't possibly imagine why his fundamentals are breaking down like that. Not like our offensive line is in shambles or anything lol

I am not blaming Fat Matt one bit its all on BB: Mac is suffering from poor Skill Position Players too. I don't think any of us expected Nelson Agholor and Jonnu Smith to be this bad we are paying them good money for what they are not doing and that's producing. Mac needs to build a rapport with T Thornton that would solve a lot of his problems. In games we've seen already he has missed a lot of Big Play opportunities to T Thonton. Get the football in the kid's hands.

Not Every QB in the NFL is getting elite protection which is what Mac wants. Statue QB's don't have much of a shelf life in Today's NFL...IF Mac is going to run he needs to learn to throw on the run and slide too he's horrible at it.

Yea but no other QB is getting the worst protection with a rookie OL coach, rookie OC, rookie QB coach, and is only in his 2nd year as a pro. This fanbase really needs to learn perspective with regards to the QB position. Mac isn't without his share of the blame but if you're expecting elite pocket presence from a QB in his situation you're being unrealistic

As bad as the OL is NOT every pass set is a total disaster. IF I am a Defense I am playing the Patriots Run First I wouldn't give this Mac Jones the time of day. My point is IF the Defense is playing you run first your QB should be able to make a plays in the passing game. I think Receivers are open and Mac is flat out not seeing them that needs to change.

-the past 4 games Mac has actually been very good. 70% comp%. 1 int. team is not getting into the RZ, but Mac is finally healthy (back and ankle), and getting the ball out faster.
-the OL is doing him no favors
-there is little to no time for WR's to get open
-having Harris healthy will be huge with Stevenson not at 100%.
-I think I take Cajuste over McDermott is he is healthy
-have we seen the last of Wynn in a Pats uni?

Don't go by reporters. They said Meyers didn't practice during the 15 minutes they got to watch practice yesterday but then the Pats listed him as participating and we all know how to the T Bill is with practice reports now.

He's definitely missing open receivers (literally not even throwing to them). Like I said he's not the poor blameless victim some of us make him out to be, he's part of the problem too. I'd just put him at like 20% of the blame

Mac (as well as any other quarterbacks on the face of the Earth) needs time to get the big plays off. He's not being given much time to do much else than quick releases.
