The Bills board is talking about an idea to create an 8th AFC seed and eliminating the bye for 1. Then they can forfeit/cancel/whatever the Bengals game. KC would be in the drivers seat for 1 but they don’t really gain an advantage from it. Could be a compromise and make things less unfair for a bunch of teams.

Can’t see the league doing that on very short notice but it’s an interesting idea. I think the Pats are probably in the playoffs now if that happens.

While I can see that happening from the Bills standpoint, and it would be a HUGE win for the Pats I can never see it happening. Of course that would mean the Pats not only get a free pass into the playoffs.; but if you are a Dolphins fan you'd be more than just pissed to see the Pats GET that free pass. It simply would be unfair to the max. Imagine if that situation were reversed and the Phins got the free pass?

So you don't believe that teams in the past have purposefully lost/tanked for a better draft position and got away with it that eventually led to a contender getting a playoff spot or higher seeding? How is that different? Yeah it sucks, but that's life. We can whine all we want, but it's not like any of this is important in the grand scheme of things.

Where do you get this weirdness about victory laps? And how are those stats significant to anything I posted? You're pressing a case (or agenda) that seems overly invested in wagging a finger at the Patriots quarterback, which seems odd for an alleged fan. But then you've got some pretty queer company here in that respect. And in case you're tempted to "go there," I am under no delusions that Mac Jones has been great or will be going forward. I simply want him to do well, unlike the anti-Mac circle jerkers with whom you apparently claim allegiance.

Nope, not "conflating" anything, just pegging your agenda for what it is. And now you're moving the goalposts. OH I could have taught you a lot - haha. Had all three kids in the premier soccer racquet for years. Do not miss it at all. My daughter did get a full boat in track so I got all of my money back

I agree with you a ton on most of the stuff you post Ken but this one is just wrong. If it was the other way around and it was the lolphins getting in I would be like well maybe they should have won the head to head match up and not rely on crazy outside anyones control things to derail your season? Wish you were in the playoffs? Then don’t lose to Chicago. Don’t lateral a ball 30 yards backwards when a simple kneel down sends it to OT. Don’t fumble at the 6, seconds away from a go ahead TD. Teams have had so many chances thru Out the season they can’t complain the last one didn’t work out. It’s going to be unfair to someone so focus on what’s best for the players in the locker room most affected by one of their team mates almost dying on the field. I get as mad as anyone about blown calls, bad spots, misinterpreted rules, and various other unfair circumstances but at the end of the day it’s part of the sport and good teams over come it. Same thing here, if they were a good team it wouldn’t matter what another team chooses to do, like forfeiting a game.

Some books may have it, mine does not. The NFL statement was no changes to this weeks schedule.. but have to wonder if there is something in the works, possible they resume the MNF game this weekend and reschedule the Pats/Bills Ravens/Bengals? I don't see how they get all the games in without pushing the playoffs back a week, or do something creative like thursday night games.

Yea we are/were an FC Boston/Stars family. I certainly don't miss shelling out the club $ for the older 2.

We did Stars too. And others. It is all healthy for the kids, just a lot of money when you add it all up.
