Unfortunately, only about half of those visits, apparently, are published.
Yup, we're at the mercy of the press, good thing it wasn't a Presidential election or something with national implications...

I thought I would bring this back from the dead.. Let's see if we can glean anything from last year's contact to the way they are contacting prospects this year.. Anyone see any trends BB always seems to have something up his sleeve I wonder what this year will be..

We were at Bradford's work out, and according to Aaron Wilson (RavensInsider) on Twitter, we have Dan Williams coming in for a visit.

This was for 2009.. sorry can we edit the title to this thread..

So we did'nt even sniff around Vollmer and Darius Butler..... Interesting considering those two really were big plusses last year. I think the lower round or fringe players they do a little more due diligence.

I know BB himself was at UConn's pro day. I believe they did scout Vollmer as well.

I thought Scarnecia's son was one of his coaches at Houston.

Why? The 2010 thread uses a different if similar title and is only a bit further down the front page as I type this.

Looks like we didn't have all the info.. maybe this year we do..

Quoted from Page 20..
"I noted that Caserio said specifically that the Pats held private work-outs or Gillette visits with 10 of the drafted players.

News reports basically only had four.
Chung, Tate, Ohrenberger, McKenzie.

There were three other notes that Pats coaches attended work-outs (not that private work-outs were held.)

So, on the one hand, you can narrow down the Pats board by looking at visits and private workouts, as this list does. That makes this type of list very interesting prior to the draft. Unfortunately, only about half of those visits, apparently, are published."

Scarnecchia worked out Vollmer privately himself. There's video of it out there. I think they kept Vollmer quiet for a reason.

Scar worked him at his Pro-Day, it just never appeared in any publication any of our crowd read. The rest of the NFL just slept on Sebastian.

Maybe they had a little inside info from the asst. coach, Kliff Kingsbury?

I remember BB being at UConn's Pro Day, with a closeup view of Butler -- here's what I found:

UConn Huskies Football News Blog - Desmond Conner - Hartford Courant

Patriots coach Bill Belichick, who has been hanging out quite a bit today with UConn coach Randy Edsall, whispered a little something in Edsall's ear just a few minutes ago. Edsall said he asked to see Lorenzen as a safety. And right now, he's working with Darius Butler and Dahna Deleston and Belichick is right on top of the drills they're running, has taken off his coat and everything.
Boy Belichick has really camped out over by the DBs, who have now turned around to play receiver.
