The boys in Patriot Blue didn't fare so well, dropping from last years 2 to 32, biggest drop of the year... might be a but unfair, but it is what it is until we know more about how this staff will game plan and adjust said game plans as the season kicks off...

thoughts, opinions, etc...

and for those that want more than the tldr version,

.

Who cares? The Pats should get an Incomplete since they have a rookie head coach and hasn't coached an actual football game yet.

But at the end of the day, who cares what ESPN has to say about it?

Why would you be participating in a patriots message board if you don’t care what anyone has to say about the patriots?

No way no how the Pats coaching was #2 last year.

Unless that really means Number Two then ok. Lol

It's expected. The GOAT HC left. There will never be any replacing he or TB12. I've already resigned to the fact not much credit is given to the organization with a new staff. They will have to prove themselves. However personally I like them in this role. This will put continuous pressure on wolf and Mayo to build a contender.

Honestly the most optimistic outlook is the franchise is taking a financial breather. Cut payroll, suck for a few years, hopefully make some good draft pucks and then clean house and go after a stud HC/GM to rebuild. I think provides a better path to the top than the miniscule chance that the bargain basement coaching staff and front office they threw together can actually succeed

They're doing that. This year is all about resetting and getting the new regime established. Mayo and Wolf are here for the longwhile. If anything I say give them 3 seasons.

They aren’t serious about building around Mayo and Wolf. They are month saving placeholders. Otherwise they would have given them a major league budget.

How tf isn't Reid #1 as HC

Why the **** should he be? Chumley & his ****ing filthy Maggot are the most Protected HC/QB combo in the entire ****ing league.

On the other hand, the 4-letter network doesn’t think too highly of Dennis Allen, does it?

Clickbait is all it is. That being said stirring **** looks like it pays off when trying to get people to buy past your paywall…need to try incognito mode for it but I’m too lazy. It works for cnn so who knows.

Some of the players bemoaning Belichick's "negative" approach are in for a real surprise with Mayo.

Mayo is not a PeteCarroll rah-rah type. He's much more like the Patriot coaches of the past.

But here's the thing with Mayo: he appears to be very willing to throw people under the bus, as Chuks Okorafor is finding out today.

So this is a different regime but some may come to appreciate the way Belichick ran things. He was on your neck to squeeze every bit of performance out of you, but in public he never disparaged his players.

I can’t really call it throwing someone under the bus when it's an established fact that dude sucks but we also suck for playing him and not drafting a proper OT. But I definitely get what you’re saying.

Based on accomplishments, Reid should be #1. I’d put McVay at #2. That roster is **** and he got them back to the playoffs. Shanahan is #3.
