Hi All,

I have tried looking around, at different sources to see if anyone has us trading Jimmy, for a early draft round pick, im talking around top 10?

As far as i can see there is very little interest, so with this case in mind, what do you think we are looking at if we are trading him? With the depth of this draft this year, and how strong it is in plenty postions what would you prefer personally for the Pats to take/risk?

I'm on edge about a few players, i have a strange feeling that Garret may become a bust depending on who he goes to..

I also in recent weeks seen that Peppers has started to drop an awful lot in some mocks...

Any thoughts?

If they get a 1st for Jimmy, it's likely to be in the 2018 draft. Otherwise, it might be something like a 2nd and 4th. I suppose there's an outside chance they could swap Jimmy and their 1st for, say, the Niners pick and maybe a 4th or 5th, but it seems unlikely.

Or it could be something like Garoppolo + NE 1 for the other team's 1.

Ah, a Fellow Draft Fan. Welcome, Brother Snooky!!

PatsFans.com has an entire Forum dedicated to The Draft. Check it out.

Brother Manx and many other Fine Minds make that Forum well worth checking out, and I'm quite certain your Thoughts'd be welcome. I myself don't put in much Time there, but only because I'm obsessed with The Draft, and my Blog demands the vast Majority of my Time.

Regarding your Question...I believe that Jimmy Garappolo has obliterated any Doubts that I or anyone had about'is Pocket Presence...or about any Aspect of'is Game at all...As such, I gotta say that, even though it's been fashionable to vastly overrate the Trade Value of Brady's Backup Brigade over the Years...Garappolo is the Dream Come True of Brady's Backup Brigade Trade Value!!

I don't tend to believe that a Team picking in the Top 10 is likely to make a Move for Garappolo, despite the Fine Fantasies many've had about fleecing the Browns for the #1 Pick, for instance. Garappolo is nearing the completion of'is Rookie Contract, of course, and will soon, given that he wins a starting Gig as any prospective Trade Partner would hope, command a vast Fortune. Most Teams in that situation are generally looking at a slow Ascension, and such an huge Contract too early would disrupt that.

The Browns themselves, however, at #12, could quite possibly be a Trade Partner, and considering the 1st and 4th Rounders that the Vikings recently gave up for Sam Bradford and his fat Contract ~ and that First Rounder'll be either #14 or #15 ~ #12 and Change seems like a very realistic Value.

However, the current CleveLand Leadership seems to me to understand the Stupidity of trading Picks for Veterans, I'm sorry to say. And if anyone reading this is thinking "Yeah, but", please allow me to remind you that they essentially got First Dibs on Jamie Collins for nothing or close to nothing at all.

Looking at The Draft Order, the Bills at #10 look like possibly prospective Trade Partners...Possibly...And then I don't see anyone, really, until...the Broncos at #20!! Hah!! Possibly the Cardinals, though, at #13, if they think that Palmer's about to walk off into The SunSet. After that? Not much'f anyone...

Of course, it's always possible that the Bears, who were not only stupid enough to trade a Pile of Picks for Jay Cutler, but stupid enough to give'm a Pile of Money...would be stupid enough to cough up #3 and maybe a 4th and a 7th and perhaps even a 2018 2nd Rounder for Garappolo!!

Yeah, that was what the last option was supposed to be. I'm not sure that a swap will be their best option, though you never know. A team desperate for a quarterback could give a lot to trade up.

I meant that as an example, not a template. It could be their 1 for JG + NE's 2, for example, or their 1 and 3 for JG + NE 1.

Thanks Grid but it's the "many other fine minds" that deserve all the credit this year. They've done some great work. @reamer @I.M. Fletcher and @BaconGrundleCandy have been doing particularly fine work.

Don't leave out @BobDigital and @Wilfork#75. I'm sure I'm missing other names, too. Lots of really great posts in the draft forum. I'm just trying to carry on the legacy of OTG and Mayo and their ilk. I don't know anything compared with those guys.

Agree on those two. Was worried about leaving people out.

And Grid and Mayo are sorely missed. We're also getting to the return of our mod @patchick.

Thank you for the kind Words, Brother Manx, and for reminding me of the other Names, as I've barely had a moment to hit our Draft Forum, especially over the last couple of Years, and'm not necessarily very retentive in the first place. Brother Reamer, in particular, I remember well, dating back to my PatriotsPlanet Days!!

Speaking of that fine fellow: I must say, Reamer, Old Horse, that your Front 6.5 Thread is especially fascinating and well-conceived, Sir!! Brother Reamer must be very proud!!

And thank you for your kind Words, Brother Reamer. Brother Mayo was of course the first SuperScout hereabouts ~ at least in my recollection and opinion ~ and I too hope for'is Return, some day, to these Pages. Brother Manx is of course his equal in terms of the combination of Insight and in enormous Production, and the only one about whom I would accord such Praise, but as far as Insight is concerned, I've always felt that yours is consistently Top Shelf, along with Manx and Mayo. The fact that you generally don't post as voluminously as them or as I do, elsewhere, merely indicates that you're possibly sane.
