Post Game Thread: Titans beat the Pats

Cause they’re soft up front, on both sides of the ball.
Didn't play well today, but OL has been very good. Not sure why you would call them soft? DL has been less consistent, but seems only a week ago they controlled both sides of the LOS.

I can't imagine getting a win in Kansas city playing like that.
Not playing like that. But hopefully they won't play like that....

This loss is huge for you guys, in terms of playoff seeding. You have to win out if you want home field throughout.

The world isn't falling or anything like that. You'll easily rebound out of the bye week.

At the absolute worst you'll be 11-5, I give that about a 10 percent chance of happening.

12-4 about a 50 percent chance.

13-3 about a 40 percent chance.

Now linebacker Rashawn Evans is saying he sensed Brady was defeated after all the hit he took.
The Titans are starting to be on my hated teams list.
We could of drafted Evans but Vrabel traded ahead of us.
Honestly I think we should of gone defense in the draft heavily.
Felt that then still feel that way now.
Harold Landry would of been nice Darius Leonard is a perenial probowler we missed on.

Sad..but true

It sucks, seems like nobody plays with a mean streak, no nastiness on defense, no big hitters. Man I miss Rodney, Willie, Seymour and them boys. That group would slap you up and put offenses in check.

Circle the Steelers game. KC and Pittsburgh have the inside track for playoff byes.

Yup. Pats may not even get a bye at this rate. KC is locked in for a bye and #1. It's the #2 seed. If we can't get a bye we won't make it all the way.

Still going to KC with this D vs that O? My god it would not be pretty. Pats a pretty bad road team

LB core is so sorry. Van Noy is a jag, Roberts blows, HT will make a play here and there but he’s nothing special. They need youth and talent badly.

Those were the days...but those are longg gone.

At this point focus on winning the division and getting a home game... Surely I'll ***** and moan in the heat of the moment of they, say, finish 11-5, 10-6 win AFC E, win a home wildcard, then get smoked in Pittsburgh or KC...but in Grand scheme of this year - Brady being a pud in off-season, really ?able personnel moves, and key injuries/suspensions, terrible recent drafts...1-1 in playoffs isn't that bad

After digesting this debacle I have come to some thoughts...
We're probably going 11-5 or 12-4
We're going to the playoffs
We're not making it past the AFCCG with this team.

They can still get to the SB if KC is somehow knocked off before AFCCG.

Brady haters can't stop obsessing over the Brady benching. Now you've got hater within a 50 mile radius creaming their pants over this loss as if their own team had jusy won the Super Bowl (ironically enough, it's the usual suspects; Packers, Raiders and Jaguars fans). Their favorite line: "Brady's too old. He needs to retire for good."

Tennessee looked good because the o-line continued to have heart attacks, per usual. The defense was just like clock work; inconsistent and slow against mobile QBs. Gilmore had his worst performance of the season. Brady 0 time to throw, WR corpse kept dropping every pass, and the run game was abandoned. Brady got benched (everyone believes it's because of performance) and now has become a laughingstock on social media.

Meanwhile the media's darling and every Brady hater's favorite QB, Aaron Rodgers, destroys an injury-riddled LOLphins at home.

With Burkhead not contributing anything and consistently missing time at the moment he's not wrong.

He's not right either. It's a typical sports "in the moment" comment not based on the cap, winning percentage over time, total team spending, or other factors that would definitively prove or disprove the point.

There have been plenty of big spending teams (Dan Snyder...paging Dan Snyder please) that haven't done jack squat winning (or *** kicking) and plenty of spendthrift teams with a lot of first contracts that have kicked ass "on the cheap" (Seattle won its Super Bowl that way - look at them now that they've had to "pay everyone" from the Legion).

We abandoned James white today, for what reason I’m not sure.

He was chucked and hit off the line early and then the pass rush got in so much he had to stay in to protect. It had nothing to do with abandonment. An opposing team finally game planned White out. This will be copied now...a lot.

I suppose that it’s a matter of semantics, but I’m not sure that I’d necessarily agree with the idea that “Brady got benched.” The game was out of hand and the score was 34-10 about halfway through the 4th quarter. There was no need to subject him to more hits with an aggressive defense for absolutely no reason at all. We see examples like this all of the time.

Now, had he been replaced earlier in the game, then I’d agree that he’d been benched for Hoyer, however that wasn’t the case yesterday. Belichick was simply looking at the bigger picture once the game got out of hand in the 4th quarter.

This and I would venture he's not above using the "everyone is accountable" aspect either. There's likely a ton that goes on in the film room we are not privy to.
