Post Game Thread: Titans beat the Pats

Brady is zeroing in on Edelman and Gronk so much this year it's as if he doesn't trust his other receivers. Maybe they're not getting open, who knows. But I see Brady throwing to just a handful of guys even when they are being blanketed in coverage. It's very odd.

To me it feels like he is forcing it to Gordon on almost every second throw. Have not seen him zeroing in on Edelman or Gronk at all tbh.

The problems on offense were almost entirely related to a terrible game by the offensive line. Brady was pressured all game long, even on quick hitters. The running game was non-existent because the backs had nowhere to go.

Defensively, it varied from position to position. The stretch at the beginning of the second half felt really good, but the offense couldn't sustain any drives to wrest control of the clock and field position from the Titans.

Josh Gordon and Edelman played well. I don't understand why Hogan isn't targeted more often.

Mariota was splendid for the most part. Corey Davis was a stud. Vrabel has that defense hitting hard.

Bingo.

I dunna know. I feel like they both had uneven games. Made some plays but should have made others...

No. Morons don't offer specifics. They're incapable of offering specifics. Too dumb...
There's a lot of that going around. Come to think of it, it's actually become the norm.

I love more information & informed opinions but there's too much group-think out there. People will hear or see something, usually off an emotional experience/game & carry the narrative they come across.

And fwiw I've yet to see anyone. Media, amateur or w/e show me how Brady is declining. Gods knows there's no shortage of attention seekers.

The offense we see today was put together in 1 season & on the fly. Think of the expectations on Gordon & he's been here an hour & a half. Pretending CP is a legit WR & now we have him at RB.

No one played well on offense today.

Impulsive behavior at it's finest

Brady has had bad O line perfomances and and still made a game of it, with even less talent. See 2013 AFCCG. Line was a sieve he was battered all day and almost still brought them back. Based on the TV broadcast he missed several open receivers that he has made a HoF career over finding.

I'm not even really upset at the loss, we're 7-3, i'm upset that we pretty likely loss a shot at the one seed, only hope is if KC drops to the Rams and Chargers, full squad I like our chances at Arrowhead but sh*t.

I disagree with that. He averaged 5 yards per carry last season and was a threat out of the backfield as well. The fact the Patriots are regularly forced to use James White in running situations when they're in a hurry up demonstrates the dynamic lost in the absence of Lewis.

I think the major disappointment with Michel, and this may be corrected later on so it's not a fatal flaw and may be attributable to missing most of camp, is that he's not usable as a receiver right now and renders the offense one dimensional in certain ways. Lewis' contract with the Titans is eminently reasonable for a very good player at a less than premium position.

They weren’t going to keep both. They decided to keep White. I think that was 100% the right move. Lewis was nothing special today. I don’t know why people are clamoring for him.

With the way we played today, we shouldn't even be thinking about playoff seeding. We need to focus on just playing better and getting healthy. That game against the Steelers will probably determine if we're the number 2 or 3 seed.

Circle the Steelers game. KC and Pittsburgh have the inside track for playoff byes.

True. I questioned that logic during the Game Day Thread.

Do you think it's awkward that of late when we face a low end/mid team Bills/Titans horrible effort/lack of energy but when we face a team like KC or GB we look like our old selves?

Green Bay is a "low end/mid team".
If trends continue and the team does not improve, the Kansas City game will be remembered as an outlier.
