Post Game Thread: Titans beat the Pats

so NYJ get pounded and give up 41 AT HOME...does anyone think the Pats go to NJ and pound them? Its much more likely, given how this seasons going, Pats go down and lay an egg and either lose or win 16-6 or something....

Lewis was nothing special ... he would not have made a difference today

He is certainly not worth 4/20

I disagree with that. He averaged 5 yards per carry last season and was a threat out of the backfield as well. The fact the Patriots are regularly forced to use James White in running situations when they're in a hurry up demonstrates the dynamic lost in the absence of Lewis.

I think the major disappointment with Michel, and this may be corrected later on so it's not a fatal flaw and may be attributable to missing most of camp, is that he's not usable as a receiver right now and renders the offense one dimensional in certain ways. Lewis' contract with the Titans is eminently reasonable for a very good player at a less than premium position.

I don’t think it’s any kind of hot take to say that last year‘s MVP is almost certainly Brady’s last. So yeah, I think his peak is now behind him. I also think this team wins another Super Bowl with him.

I don't know if we win another Super Bowl with him. He is 41 and his play at times reflects that. Im not saying he doesn't bounce back. We will likely win 11+ games. Probably 12.

I just see a man who is 41 and could be hitting the erosion point. Next season he will be 42. I'm not sure we have many more chances with him. One at most. This season or next you could argue.

Rumors are out there that Bowles might be getting fired.

Is Tom not culpable here?

Hard to judge Brady today either way. The OL was abysmal both in the run and pass protection. He obviously had a poor game himself plus there were also some blown routes. Missed a lot of throws.

Frustrating seemingly no adjustments for gilmore. Why not give him help?

I'd agree with this post if they hadn't gone and spent arguably the most valuable asset available, a 1st round draft pick, on a running back. And again that's not a critique of Michel as a player, but I would certainly feel slighted if they were unwilling to pay me what was in truth a pretty reasonable contract for a top-fligjt starting back (which I think we can all agree is a fitting description for Lewis) yet were willing to use a 1st rounder on a running back.
I get how Dion feels. Same as Malcolm I bet. That's business.

They always have trouble in Miami, the Jets will be Up for Bowles Last Stand (1 or 2), Pitt and Minn aren't gimmies. 2-4 is a real possibility
All the rest of our schedule (better chance with home games) is no cake walk for THIS team

It was a systemic failure and I'm not good with Tom not getting any criticism. He did not play well either

Got to give it to Dion....he is still explosive....and today....he got the last laugh on BB
He ran hard today and played well

They’re not as bad as they sucked today......but I’m concerned with lack of talent when it comes to getting things right for the stretch run....too many holes
It's mostly about health. Also guys like Gordon getting practice reps.

I mean, the pocket isn't always going to be clean. Brady is my hero in a way that is embarrassing given that he's like 2 years younger than me and doesn't know that I exist, but he was positively Eason-esque in bailing out of plays when contact was coming.

He isn't top of my list of players/units who were responsible for today but he certainly did not array himself with glory.

I hope he gets destroyed in the video review with how much he missed open players by zeroing in on his safety blankets.

Brady was not awesome however he is surrounded by uncertainty at the moment
Brady has no OL whatsoever....and questionable personnel.....Gordon dropped three pretty easy passes....a lot of Blame on entire O....but Brady has looked off/shaky a lot this season.....have to consider possibility that age is catching up

Brady has been throwing off his back foot and seeing ghosts in the pass rush more often than not in games this season...not doing TB12 "mental training" or whatever they call it - any good...Chubb had like 170 today, might've the pats taken the wrong Dawg?

Saints KC SB....calling it....and it should be one of best ever!!!
sure if you like arena ball...I prefer games where defenses actually make a difference. Give me a 21-17 game all day over a 42-35

Well said...doubt anyone can argue that this team is lucky to be 7-3 at this point considering how poorly all components (especially O) of this team have played.....unfortunately luck will eventually run out

Didn’t bother to show up. I put that on coaches more than anyone, nobody but Edelman was worth a s*** today. That only happens with poor preparation and focus in general. Can all but kiss the 1 seed goodbye.

If theres any way to put a positive spin on things, We are pretty fortunate to be 7-3 now considering none of the 3 losses were very competitive. That means pretty much every game that was in doubt so far has gone our way. We really need to be more consistent going forth and we really need gronk to be gronk if we are going to play for a title.

I guessed an 11-5 season ...

We are 7 -3 so still on track and hopefully we get healthy with the bye.
