Game was not on in my area. How'd it go?

Couple thoughts

Bad game, it happens, guessing you can find a game or two each year they dont play well..some they even get away with winning

Debating the worth of a player no longer on the team is a waste of time.....they ain’t here and they ain’t playing for us...I also think judging a rookie, good or bad in their first year is premature.

Brady has been a bit off all year in most games....I cant pinpoint what exactly is the issue

The one game they really cant lose is against the Steelers, that tie game the Steelers have really messes with the standings.

I don't know if we win another Super Bowl with him. He is 41 and his play at times reflects that. Im not saying he doesn't bounce back. We will likely win 11+ games. Probably 12.

I just see a man who is 41 and could be hitting the erosion point. Next season he will be 42. I'm not sure we have many more chances with him. One at most. This season or next you could argue.
I think he had a bad game and has had a not great stretch, but I certainly don’t think he’s done. The dude has surprised many times before.

And I would say that if you think, @stcjones, that the idea of winning another Super Bowl with Brady is funny, then you don’t really deserve to have watched him for the last, what, 17 years.

That's their strategy...

But I believe they abandon the run way too early.

Again if you are behind AND have a HoF QB you will never be close to that ideal 50/50 split.

No matter what with Brady as QB you will usually end up with a 60/40 split without considering the situation.

Maybe it was said in the thread but it's no secret that up the middle and collapsing the pocket is the way to get to TB12. That has to be the most Captain Obvious observation on getting to Brady.

Announcer said it right, we miss Gronk for his blocking. Our LT went down sick....I think we just kind of need to get a bit healthier all over to make a run in the second half.

We have the coaching, talent and system...just need to get some guys healed up. Bye is coming at a good time...

Do they actually have the talent though? Their offense is a mess at just about every non-QB position and the defensive talent is outright bad in the front 7. The declining play/continued struggles of the safeties and non-Gordon WR are issues as well

They’ve won 7 games but played very little in the way of good, consistent 60 minute football. The lack of talent and depth, compunded by injuries has made them very vulnerable. They can win when the other team makes dumb mistakes, they can’t win when their opponent -no matter how bad- executes well

I mean, the pocket isn't always going to be clean. Brady is my hero in a way that is embarrassing given that he's like 2 years younger than me and doesn't know that I exist, but he was positively Eason-esque in bailing out of plays when contact was coming.

He isn't top of my list of players/units who were responsible for today but he certainly did not array himself with glory.

I hope he gets destroyed in the video review with how much he missed open players by zeroing in on his safety blankets.

He needs to get back to the basics with his footwork and mechanics. And the defense needs to quit being so terrified of mobile quarterbacks that they trade occasional 8 yard scrambles for 10-15 yard completions where receivers find gaping holes in the zone.

Two things: his WR corps being in flux and his feet. Watch his feet/legs on a lot of those throws and that’ll clear it up. He’s also been seeing pressure that just isn’t there in recent weeks although that could be due to how much he’s getting hit.

Brady is zeroing in on Edelman and Gronk so much this year it's as if he doesn't trust his other receivers. Maybe they're not getting open, who knows. But I see Brady throwing to just a handful of guys even when they are being blanketed in coverage. It's very odd.

Based on their play on the road, it is reasonable to question their toughness.
