Why did they only throw to him once all game? Why is McDaniels so incompetent?

McDaniels cannot control who Brady throws the ball to. He calls the plays and Brady makes the decisions on the field. Brady, for whatever reason, looks to Jules first and then Gronk. Gordon is a third option. In the past he would say his favorite receiver is the guy who is open. That's no longer the case it seems.

Bad game on offense and defense. Our team is in trouble. Two straight losses and we've been bad on the road...not going to lie, I am worried about this team!!!!

Let's discuss!!!
Defense honestly played marginally ok.....weak but they aren’t reason we lost . This loss falls on the decline of Tom Brady, Edelman, and Gronk ....and the horrible coaching by McD (please get him out of here) and Bill Belichick (Nearing end as a HC quite obviously). Unfortunately, Pats are not going anywhere in what I believe is and should be last year for Brady Gronk and Edelman.

McDaniels is predictable, uncreative, vanilla and makes no adjustments to defensive schemes. Gronk was invisible most of game....so was Dorsett and Hogan.....McD could not figure out ANY WAY to open up things for any receivers.....He is one of the most incompetent OC out there if we are honest....and I’m begging GB to please get him out of here.

Obviously Love Tom Brady....Greatest QB of all time....but he is seriously declining. How many times now has he made absolutely asinine decisions COSTING this team a score....or the game?!?! Unfortunately, he stayed on too long....they traded Jimmy for a bag of footballs ....and now this team will be starting from scratch at QB and will set them back for years to come. Lastly....as many have commented Edelman is turning into Welker...hearing voices and footsteps constantly....and costly drop after costly drop killing drives.....another legend...but time to go too I’m afraid.....all good things come to an end

Let's face it. The entire team has taken a step back. Gronk, Edelman and Brady have fallen off just enough to make us no longer dominant.

I don't want to think that. I don't see any reason why Brady can't have a 2018 brees like season next year. Brees had kind of a down year last year and this year he's an MVP candidate. Thing is, we need a more complete team with good line on both o and d. In other words BB needs to step up which he hasn't.

Well one thing is consistent, inconsistency.

Belichick normally is on the money about being too early to let players go, rather than too late. Think he made a poor judgment this offseason.

Chung, D. McCourty, Hightower, and Brown. All underperforming players with lots of tread on the tire, save for Brown who's young but has never panned out.

I think Belichick has been intentionally prioritizing the offense and secondary in an attempt modernize his team. If that's the case, he's made a poor judgment in failing to realize that the front-7 is still important, especially to execute the nickel defense. Not to mention that he has clearly misjudged players when drafting.

There are some systemic issues in how the team has been constructed and how personnel have been managed.

Probably need some fresh blood defensively, and arguably on the coaching staff. Special teams, LBs and DLs look like they could use some new instruction.

He was actually streaking down the seam and open on the INT. Brady looked at him but didn’t throw to him. No clue why.
Probably because he was concerned about the pressure, I dont know but Pitt had him off his game enough today

I think the entire team has started to hit regression. You can see it everywhere on the unit and its not just one person, but everybody. Players aside, coaching is off too.

One bad offseason and he should be fired? He’s had a few other duds (2009 stands out). It happens. Frustrating that it probably killed any chance of Brady getting another ring, but one horrendous offseason isn’t enough to fire Belichick
I didn't say as head coach, just GM. We have had bad drafts for years.

I’ll take the L on defensive tackle as a first round draft need. Just make the run gashing stop.

Samuels is a receiving rb with a sub 3.0 ypc enterting today. Embarrassing.

The defense would be sneaky great if the DL didn’t blow chunks vs. the run. Heck of a job vs. AB/Juju, shame.

Offense....I don’t even know.

Ok, defense gave up tons of yards but only 17 points. The offense was outplayed much of the game. Three drops is embarrassing.

Including likely the one guy who is pretty good (Flowers) albeit invisible the past 2 weeks

Why pay anyone on this defense? You could go with all vet minimum guys and get a similar result

If that’s they way the league is going, spend every damned dime on offense

I have to respectfully disagree.
No hurry up offense no creativity with Patterson or Gordon.
No 2 back sets in the passing game no misdirection it was vanilla ugly Flores gets a gold star Mcdaniels does not.

McDaniels is at his best when he has a variety of weapons to use. When he has crappy talent or mediocre talent, he overcompensates badly with the misdirections and trick plays.

The offense only seems to move when they’re hitting those plays which is why it bogs down in the red zone. The talent and game planning on offense has been awful this year but those two factors feed each other

No shame in losing a close game to Pitt on the road. They would have lost last year as well if not for TE dropping the TD. False start penalties were the big issue. Shows a lack of discipline and it the reason they could not move the ball consistently. Hard to sustain drives when you need 15 to 20 yards every series. If Pats are fortunate and the Texans lose one more there is still a solid chance for the bye and a trip to AFCCG.

Thanks for the moment of sanity here.

My guess is they will be in position to win any playoff game at any turf in Q4. Like they were last yr vs JAX and in SB. Or today for that matter. Hard to expect this team to dominate on current form . but also no need to expect that..

So it's a she said he said routine. I got better things to do. Later.
Like saying Brady sucks? Oh that's valuable time spent...

This year, I would say it was very pats like. We've been seeing them suck on the road all year. Nothing that happened today should be of shock to anyone.
The team that has the least penalties in the league (NE) absolutely KILLING itself with stupid penalties all game long is absolutely as out-of-character as it gets.
