Post Game Thread- Pats destroy the Jets

Brady’s footwork was great today. A couple of really bad overthrows, but other than that he was money today. Throwing short, mid and deep was a good sign that whatever was bothering him, is behind him now. 4 more td’s for the goat.

Good to see Dorsett contributing all over the place today. Same for Hogan who dominated a couple of drives.

Would of been nice to see the Gronk play stand but it was great to see him out their mauling people nontheless.

The running game worked like a machine today. NO matter who was in there, good things were happening. White and Burkhead in the passing game was text book. One of these days, hopefully soon, like in 2 weeks, Michel is going to break multi td long runs. He’s on the cusp of being dominant and cant wait until he hits his prime.

Defense played good against a ****ty team. Still a tough task, but over the last 5 games minus miami, there has been marked improvement. Pittsburgh and Minnesota come to mind as the good teams but you still have to do it against bad teams as well.

Anyway congrats on the sure bye and hoping for a double loss from the 2 west teams tonight. . . .

Talent level NE v PITT. One team wants to talk, one team wants to win.

I love it!!! We clinched a 1st round bye and we also killed the Jets....not much better than that.

Great game by our defense and by our offense. We go into the playoffs with some momentum.

13th straight home win.

Happy holidays to everyone.

Let's discuss!!!!!!

Gotta love the thread title… Patriots destroy jets…Great stuff Ashley! Thanks as always for everything you do!

Pats finish the year with 7 wins of 14+ points (most in the league) Would have been 8 if it wasn't for the jills garbage time TD last week

Saints had 6.

Rams have 5

Like I said, a motivated Shelton will be key to a SB run. Y’all laughed at me. Keep it up big (fat) guy :D

My only qualm about the defense is that Rivers and Kamalu didn't see more snaps.. And yes, it's a minor qualm.

Best element of the day to me was Brady making effort to throw to Hogan. Need to get these guys involved if they’re going to do anything in the playoffs.

Yep, Gordons gone and this is what we got.
It really was a good start to see Dorsett, Hogan and Gronk get involved with Edelman doing his thing.

History shows the Pats and Brady can do things with this type of wr squad. As long as they all do their job.

No matter what happens in the future, we’ve already had a better season than at least 24 teams.

We’re as healthy as we’ve been in a long time, we have a home game next where we are 8-0 and all the units including one Thomas Brady played a terrific game, rounding out to form at the right time.

Not too bad for a terribly assembled team, with an old QB that should retire with an out of touch coach that deliberately sabotaged his QB and lost a SB to make him retire so he can win one without him!!! /s

The defense has been as good as you could potentially imagine given their talent level since halftime @Miami. Except for that damn 1:100,000 miracle play they played their best football in the last 10 quarters.

The edge setting still looks inconsistent but a lot better since Clayborn has been benched. Which sucks because he brings something to the table on third downs but he might just keep getting screwed by the numbers game of game actives. Shelton looks to be making a difference in the middle. Not that he is some kind of key cog but better than anything they put there while he was inactive. This might have been one of the best games I have seen Malcom Brown play. Hope he can stay "hot" through the playoffs.

The other thing that I really like about this years defense is the amount of turnovers they are creating. I think I read that they had multiple turnovers in 11 out of 16 games. If this can somewhat hold through the playoffs we will go deep no matter where the games happen.

The offense finally had the first real complete game since the KC encounter early in the season. Trent Brown remains inconsistent even though the idiot commentators can't really put it all together. Great job by Brady, Dorsett with another mentally tough performance where he was ready to play when he was called upon.

Finally let me just emphasize what crock of **** that call on Dwayne Allen was that negated Gronks 30yd gain. But on some level I guess the late hit on Brady that extended a drive and gave us 7 and this ******** evened out. That being said it is really debatable who was worse.. the refs or the Jets..
The roughing the passer was a textbook call. The fact that it extended a drive isn’t on the refs, they have to call it, it’s on the idiot jet player.

This. It was a penalty 40 years ago.

Bitter much? Terribly assembled teams don't get 1st Rd byes.

I think it’s something overlooked even 4 years ago but now is automatic and they have to call it or it’s going to happen all the time and protecting the QB has become the NFLs top priority.
