Jets screwup based drinking game?
"Bill do you think the team has a better sense of urgency because of what happened last year?"
From an outsiders perspective things that might hurt Bradys MVP chances:
1.)The Pats have the best scoring defense in the NFL
2.) They went 3-1 with out Brady
3.) Brady missed 4 games
What should help is Brady has been the best QB in the league since he came back. 25 TD's 2 INT's.
Jets v. Bills next week.
I'm probably going to have to cheer for the Jets, unless SMOD is an option.
Why root for either? Both are eliminated.
3-1 without him shouldn't hurt him if people actually look at the games.
They were a FG away from losing to the Cardinals (who we now know aren't very good - took a major step back)
They played well for about 2-2.5 quarters vs Miami.
Beat Houston with special teams and defense.
0 points against Bills in home loss.
Also, the Rodgers MVP talk makes zero sense to me. Packers got blown out by the Titans and Redskins on prime TV. In a loss, scored just 16 at home vs Dallas' ok defense and lost to the Colts at home as well. That's too many bad games.
Brady has more 300+ yard games than Rodgers, despite missing 4 games. He's also averaging more yards per game, despite Rodgers not having a RB and throwing way more often. Brady has a running game, yet still averages 300 passing yards (prior to today).
Excellent win. The Jest and Fitzpicksix were able to both suck AND blow in the same game. Impressive!!

I wouldn't be outraged if Rodgers or Elliott won MVP. Rodgers started off slow but is in the process of carrying them into the postseason and his stats are very good. Matt Ryan and Andrew Luck are the guys people like to bring up that make 0 sense to me.
I still, of course, think Brady deserves it.
I actually don't care much if Brady wins (partially because of that 17 year "curse" where the MVP hasn't gone on to win the SB) but I just don't think Rodgers deserves it.Too many bad games.
Matt Ryan would be my pick, aside from Brady.
