All stories like that are tired, trite, and annoying.
As I'd hope everyone knows, Parry's crew is not officiating the game. Parry is the head of an "all-star" team of officials.
So any stats about what Parry's crew did during the regular season are irrelevant and meaningless to this game, other than perhaps flags personally thrown by Parry.
I want the heart attack game. Loved the KC game for that reason. I vaguely remember the blowouts. I vividly remember the nailbiters.I'm going to be nervous... Hopefully this game won't kill me like the AFC championship game almost did...Can we please just win one of these games in a blowout!!!
It's tired and trite and outright wrong to use stats from Parry's crew during the regular season to try to make any point. The NFL league office has made no secret of its bias against the Patriots. So, is it so “tired and trite” to be concerned Super Bowl game officials might not try to gain favor with their superiors by throwing flags or not consistent with their biases? Sorry but I am concerned.
I have two concerns: turnovers and officiating. Courtesy of Pat Kirwan on SiriusXM radio today, the Rams are 7-0 in games officiated by Super Bowl referee Jon Parry while the Patriots are 9-5 with the flag fest in Pittsburgh being his last Patriots’ game. You remember how flags just happened to be thrown whenever the Patriots got into the red zone that day.
You would think the NFL fixers would lay low a little after their New Orleans heist letting things blow over. But, these are the Patriots. Who’s going to complain if the Patriots and their fans get screwed out of a Super Bowl win? Who cared last year when the NFL changed the rules for the Super Bowl and awarded a touchdown to Corey Clement on a play that by the rules on the books should have been an incompletion.
There were a half dozen bad calls or no calls that favored the Chiefs in the 2nd half of the AFCCG which really were what got the Chiefs back in that game, but all the NFL’s media partners wanted to talk about after the game was the clear offsides by Dee Ford and the roughing call on Chris Jones while ignoring completely that a Chief DB was practically taking a piggy back ride on Julian Edelman on the same play.
A lot of money changed hands to get the NFL back in the LA market, and the NFL is desperate to see it work. I hope I’m just being paranoid. I guess we’ll see.
I want to live in your world. Where do I get the drugs? If there’s going to be any bias imo it will favor us. The NFL will be too happy to see the Saints controversy made moot by a Patriots win. And I think the league knows they did Brady wrong in Deflategate and will try to right it as best they can.

The thing I love most about this run game compared to the Blount years.. As good as Blount was at times, he also got stuffed a ton, he's more predictable. Michel and White are way shiftier and the o-line, Gronk, Allen and Dev have been beasting. Hopefully they can all continue their effectiveness as of late. The Oline and run game will win it.
The secondary is playing well too.
This team is different than any other I've seen.
They are confident, without being obnoxious and ****y.
I'm buying in.
The Tuck Rule was an accurate call.High on optimism. Or naivete?
I really think so though. Rams win and a lot of people are putting an asterisk on it because of that call. See Rule, Tuck. The league will be happy to make this go away. As for Brady- him and BB still have books to write after they’re done. Probably best for the league to move on and bury the hatchet.
What was the situation with Branch? Can’t put a finger on it but something just seemed off to me last year leading up to the game.
Falling way behind to the Jaguars at home in the AFCCG. Didn’t know about Butler obviously but there was the situation with Branch too.
No such feeling this year.

He wasn't a problem. He fell off the cliff and was useless.
