My confidence so far
Chargers Game: "We can legit lose this game, I expect a close win but we have to play great"
Chiefs game: "It's a loss. Most likely will end up like Denver 2015, homefield will cost us the trip to the SB"
But after the two actual outcomes from this game, I am extremely confident.
Beyond 2001/2004 @ Pittsburgh AFCCG, can't think of another more impressive/improbable AFCCG win for the Pats going into the SB.
The whole vibe of the Rams just doesn't seem like a SB team to me. Youngest (despite great) coach in the league, got to the game based on the worst non-call in playoff history, second year after saying **** you to St. Louis and going to LA where no one gives a **** and a squad that feels more like a collection of random talent (questionable characters at that..Suh, Peters ,etc.) than a "team" to me. Our fan-base will also outnumber their "fanbase".
While the Pats seem as locked in/focused as ever. There's absolutely no way they're taking this team for granted after last year. Also Gronk having two weeks (and a great game to follow up) to heal knowing this will most likely be his final game, I think he's going to be GRONK for one more time.
On the other hand, the three games I had the most pre-game confidence in (Giants, Giants II, Eagles) we lost, buuuuut you know.
