There have been some great moments in Patriots history, like “I resign as HC of the NYJ” on a ****tail napkin. But what was the best? Express your opinion by voting here.

You said moments and then put entire games.

As far as moments go:

I started with.

Brady spiking the ball just before Vinatieri's kick. There's the moment of wholly **** what did that kid just do. Combined with confidence that Vinatieri wouldn't miss after having seen those snow kicks.

Then of course there is the moment it went thru the uprights.

I also considered the OT coin toss vs ATL, White's game sealing run, or Edelman's catch because of the significance of getting our own Catch.

But ultimately I think it's the greatest moment in football history. The change of fates for 2 franchises flipped the moment Butler intercepted Russ.

If we're talking moment, it's either AV kick to beat the Rams or the Butler Interception - both won SBs and are iconic in New England and US sports lore. (I chose Butler since it's just an incredible play)

but 28-3 really encompasses everything great about the TB/BB Patriots - it all came together for the best comeback in sports history.

Really really really torn between malcom go and "it's good, it's good! The patriots are Superbowl champions!" Both of those are top 5 highest I have ever been in my life, just pure joy and happiness. Still you gotta go with your first so I voted SB36 but there really are some incredible special moments we were lucky enough to live thru.

Best game? SB51 for me. SB36 was amazing, SB49 was cathartic, but damn...that comeback, and the meta at the time of being able to shove it in ****dell's face was the cherry on top.

Best moment? The Butlerception with AV's SB36 kick coming in at a close second. Both were "can't believe it" moments, each of a different type.

Not the greatest pure moment like AVs kicks or whatever but Nikolai brings up the greatest moment of Schadenfreude in Patriots history. The Booing of Rodger Goodell on stage after SB51 was so cathartic!

Shoutout to the Brady 4 lol:

Impossible to choose. The butt fumble doesn't belong on the list.

I remember watching the introduction to SB36 and them announcing that the Patriots would be introduced as a team and I just felt like the fates were aligning. There have been a ton of moments since then. But this might still be my favorite.

Depends on the mood. My favorites change like a carousel.

I will say tops are
36
49
51

36 Being the first one has very special meaning obviously. Cinderella story. Cemented their names as champions finally

49. Take on the bully, up against the best defense probably of the decade. Rocky 3 style win. Pretty awesome.

51. Basically, no matter how bad or insurmountable things go, keep pressing forward. The main thing that will always amaze me aside from Atlanta not running the ball was that everything had to go perfect. Everything, the defense had to hold, Hightower with the key sacks, the two point conversions had to happen and then to top it off Edelman finally makes the sort of play that has plagued the Pats out of two championships. 28-3 forever.

In a losing effort Superbowl 52 is also one of my favorites. Despite benching Butler and whatever hoopla else. Brady threw for 505 yards. It was a testament of the guys will to win. I hated the outcome knowing that had possibly Butler played, all he really had to do is stop 1 or 2 3rd down plays. He didn’t have to play great, just average. Philly went 10-16 for the day and also had the illegal end zone play. Shame, but despite the losing effort that 505 yard game will stand out along with the the 2015 Denver loss where Gronk was held in the endzone. Another courageous effort by the Goat.

Favorite game? 36

Favorite moment?

lol, the schadenfreude is delicious...

Back to moments. Guess I kind of misread the choices being games.

So many Brady moments, it’s almost unfair as he played for 20 years here. You could write a novel.

Curtis Martin’s fog bowl game vs Steelers in 96 playoff win. 166 yards 3 td’s. That 78 yard run was a back breaker.

Edelman’s TD pass to Amendola vs Ravens.

Gronk throwing Sergio out of the club.

Specials teams blocked fg attempt with Troy Brown lateral to Antwoine Harris for the TD.

Jeez this hard, there are thousands. I go back to the early 80’s I can’t imagine if you were watching in the 60’s and 70’s how hard this would be.

Butler interception for a number of reasons:
1) The swing from certain, utter despair to unbelievable joy in the matter of a second
2) The comeback by Brady and co vs THAT defense
3) 4th ring started the second half of the dynasty

XLIX is one of the best football games ever played.
