You know there were a few times I honestly felt bad for Bills fans when they'd get themselves all riled up that 'this' was the year they'd dethrone the king and then Brady & Co would just de-pant them again and again and again...

Curiously that never happened with the Jete, I enjoyed every last ounce of misery they endured. The Jete just couldn't be curb stomped enough for me.

Bills found a new daddy in KC. Jets in the foster system but no one is claiming that.

OFC I still enjoy it whenever the Jete get spanked, hell any NY team really, but there was something special about the 'just another day at the office' way Brady's Pats did it.

Those Billdos are one thing that gives me a little appreciation for the Bills fans.

I can explain it. Jets suck! Always have, always will. They pound their chests and brag over their "potential" every. Single. Year. Won the offseaon every. Single. Year. From the top down not enough bad things can happen to that franchise. Bills fans are no where near as obnoxious and the teams actually were decent for most of the 80s. Going to 4 strait Superbowls is impressive even if they lost all of them. One of my favorite stats in a 4 team division the Jets are 5th in winning division titles. That's how awful they are.

Not the greatest pure moment like AVs kicks or whatever but Nikolai brings up the greatest moment of Schadenfreude in Patriots history. The Booing of Rodger Goodell on stage after SB51 was so cathartic!

And I am proud to have been part of it, losing my voice in the process.

You said moments and then put entire games.

As far as moments go:

I started with.

Brady spiking the ball just before Vinatieri's kick. There's the moment of wholly **** what did that kid just do. Combined with confidence that Vinatieri wouldn't miss after having seen those snow kicks.

Then of course there is the moment it went thru the uprights.

I also considered the OT coin toss vs ATL, White's game sealing run, or Edelman's catch because of the significance of getting our own Catch.

But ultimately I think it's the greatest moment in football history. The change of fates for 2 franchises flipped the moment Butler intercepted Russ.

The Pats changed the trajectory of their opponents in each of those games.

The Greatest Show on Turf and Beast Mode were getting ready to claim the mantle of "Dynasty" when #4' s kick cleared the uprights in XXXVI and when Wilson's pass was "intercepted at the goal line by Malcolm Butler."

In LI, the career trajectory of a good guy, Matt Ryan, was forever altered...he was never the same again after that game and walked off the field with his face hidden by his helmet and face grid. The Falcons weren't going anywhere, like the Rams and Seahawks thought they were. Warner and Wilson continued their careers, but Ryan was, for all practical purposes, finished even if he continues playing.

But what stuck out the most for me in XXXVI was how nonchalant TB12 was as he slowly walked up to the line, took the snap from center and spiked the ball before Vinatieri's kick. I said at the time to my wife, "Brady's so calm...it's like he's spiking the ball in a preseason game in August."

Miami was a torture chamber for the Patriots, and to see them absolutely destroy Marino and the Phins in the AFCCG?

That was one of the greatest nights in Patriots history.

yeah. i would certainly have that on the list over the butt fumble, which was funny and as an added benefit humiliated the Jests, but it was definitely not on the level of a conference or nfl championship game.

Realize I may need to replace my “readers”. When I looked at the header I mistook “Poll” for “Polk” and honestly tried to think of a “best Patriot moment” fir our rookie receiver. After an honest effort, I decided there was nothing that came to mind, then thankfully noticed the “k” was actually an “l”.. Phew!! But here’s hoping our 2nd year wideout with the league’s “best hands” will give us all many “best Patriot moments “ to ponder this year!

6 championships, an all time classic AFCCG in OT vs Mahomes, the snow bowl, Ty Law having more catches than Harrison vs Colts in the 2003 playoff game, James White AND HE'S INNNNNNNN TD vs the Falcons, Malcom Butler, Belichick calling for the safety vs Broncos... that's just off the dome, and all those are better than the silly ass butt fumble. The butt fumble is hilarious, but it's not in the same stratosphere as some of the great moments this franchise has had.

I remember watching the introduction to SB36 and them announcing that the Patriots would be introduced as a team and I just felt like the fates were aligning. There have been a ton of moments since then. But this might still be my favorite.

Us against the World!!
That was one of the coolest things about the Brady/BB Era- it was always us against the world. Year after year.
In that sense, it was better to nit be living in New England- since you're surrounded by Pats fans. I live in a place where people move to from all over the U.S.
So there are tons of other teams fans, including a lot of our rivals like Dolphins and Steelers. It just made wearing Pats gear in public more fun. I'd bump into a Fish fan wearing his pathetic Dolphins jersey and you could tell he felt ashamed of his jersey seeing my Super Bowl Champs Pats tshirt.

That catch was certainly one of the all time moments. Not many plays in NFL history compare. Although Malcolm has a legitimate claim to compare on favorable terms.
