@BarbGogan Thanks Barb. Appreciate the kind words.

@rmayo56 And to a lesser degree, would have to fill his spot on kickoff return unit, but that's not as big of an issue.

@rmayo56 Possible. I think the concern is that you now pretty much eliminate the 2-TE package, 3-TE/goal-line package from your playbook.

@BarbGogan No Barb, not present. Won't be on the show tonight.

For me, I really want these guys:

Jace Amaro TE Texas Tech, I really want this guy, think he would be perfect in the Pat's offense and take pressure off of Gronk as pass catching TE.

Jordan Matthews WR Vanderbuilt- Love this guy's athleticism, bloodlines with Jerry Rice, and intelligence (Highest score for a WR 29) on the Wonderlic test) Huge hands ! 10 5/8 hands.

Dri Archer RB/WR kent State- Most explosive guy in thedraft, ran a 4.26, small but incredibly versatile, good hands as a receiver, amazing as a returner, strong for his size.

Stephon Tuitt DL Notre Dame- I think he'd be perfect for the Pats, hopefully his foot is ok

De'Anthony Thomas RB Oregon- Black Mamba brings incredible speed and shiftyness, also another great returner. I think we need to add speed to our team. Thomas also is an excellent receiver too. 10 touches a game could help this team tremendously. Same can be said for Archer.

Completely off the draft board. Carrington Byndom, UT. Four-year starter at CB, ran in the mid 4.3's at his pro day. Take a chance on him in the 7th round or as a free agent, see if he can play the slot. UT has sent a lot of DBs to the NFL in the past ten years. Worth a shot.

I'd like Donald or Shazier, but sadly I doubt we get either.

I think they will certainly be in a position in the later rounds to grab De'Anthony Thomas, and I think he can help in both the RB and KR (which is sorely needed) departments.

I would love to see Clowney, but as I previously posted, aside from trading Brady, they don't have enough chips on the table to make that move.

I would also like to see BB take John Urshel, OG, 6'3" 313, Penn State in the later rounds. Urshel has a 4.0 GPA while getting his Masters in Math, played for O'Brien, so he knows the offense. It would seem to be a, pardon my pun, "no brainer" for BB, the smartest guy in the draft, at a need position, who already knows the offense. What's not to like about him?

As a mid to late rounder, I like Craig Loston a lot.

Like your list especially Jordan Matthews if we can get him in the 4th round or so - "soft hands" at 6'3", especially in the end zone.

Wont be unhappy if we get Amaro at #29 and we cant trade down, though I am sure there will be a few surprise drops that may be better. If we dont get him we can always wait for ASJ in the second...

Agree on RBs definitely some good 4-6th round candidates. I like speed, but not many of them are good at picking up their blocking assignments. My preference for that part of the draft is Tyler Gaffney from Stanford. Just think we need a larger back than Ridley and Vereen.

Not fully convinced with Tuitt - got the body and some skills, but not sure of motor and vision.

Forgot to add Trai Turner (LSU) as a 3-4th round G/C - high motor and can play either like Connoly but younger.

I'm resigned to the safeties being gone.

I'm resigned to the team going with the WR group they've got, at least until cuts are made by other teams.

I'm resigned to them being unable to trade for Dontari Poe.

    Given that, I'll take

    Tuitt (DT/DE versatility)
    Marcus Martin (Wendell replacement)
    Best TE available
McCullers (350+ pounds of potential Wilfork successor)

at the top. Find some way to make that happen, and I'll consider that a promising start to the draft.
