not the point ,space.....he just cleared waivers...NOW he can sign with ANY team for WHATEVER they want to offer him...why NOT offer him a minimum contract for the last eight games and REALLY see what he has left....suppose he's still Dillon level when HE left Cincy...what the hell is the downside?...he gets cut for an off field incident?...so what, it costs the Pat dust.

will they do it? I doubt it...but I won't fry them in Hell if they do like certain other "Pats" fans here seem to want to do

If he'd be willing to come in - why not ? He can still run hard, he can be a big bruiser...

It'd be a half season of "prove it" football - just the kind of football I like. He can come in, win, prove he can "fit in", run hard, help the team, and help himself get a new contract from someone in the spring.

Something cheap - he gets his 4+ million from KC - he can get cut if he doesn'T work out or the team prefers going Morris-Taylor later in the year. Who knows, he might beat them out à la Vollmer...

Win, win.

Larry Johnson, who was released Monday by the Kansas City Chiefs, has cleared waivers and is now a free agent, according to a league source.

Johnson is owed the roughly $2.3 million remaining on his contract by the Chiefs.

A league source tells me the Houston Texans could end up being his most likely landing spot. That’s the team I’d focus on as a possible destination. It makes sense for Johnson as well, with the chance to be on a winning team.

Besides the Texans, league sources say the Bears, Patriots and Redskins have also called to express interest.

As I've said before, if he has gas in the tank, is comitted to helping this team win a Super Bowl, can learn the aspects of the offense that are pretinent to how they plan on using him, be a good boy in the locker room and agrees to a deal that comes with a minimal amount of risk to the team, why not?

Those two look like sticking points to me. Also, what impact would this signing have on LoMo? I'm liking what I'm seeing out of him and don't want to rock the boat.

Not happy with this scenario.

All I have to say. I never liked Dillon. Not a big fan of Moss. I respect what they have done for this team though.

But Larry Johnson is another thing. The guy has abused women many times in his recent past. He has made racist and homophobic comments. He has been an ongoing headache for the Chiefs. I really don't like him coming to this team even if he could get 1,500 yards in the final 8 weeks.

I can look the other way with Dillon and Moss because their transgressions were minor compared to Johnson. Well, Dillon's rap sheet is almost as bad if you include his high school days. Johnson is a different animal than Dillon and Moss though. Don't want him. And I don't think the Pats really need him.

I still seriously doubt the Pats would sign him.

Dude is a woman beating douche bag.

I hope Pittsburgh signs him and cuts Moore. So we can sign Moore.

Sweet watch.....and HE'S talking.....oooopppppsssss :ugh:
