JSn - you just cannot put a price tag on the value of having a seasoned domestic violence expert on the team (for the sarcasm challenged, that would be a sarcastic remark).

I am still not quite sure how this guy draws Moss or Dillon comparisons. He does not create issues because he thirsts for a competitive team and wants out of a losing organization. It can safely be said he was a problem the year KC went to the playoffs. Nobody is sure why he implodes. As such, unless Belichick dabbles in abnormal psychology and is prepared to conduct extensive therapy sessions, I would not see LJ as a potential valuable addition to the Patriots.

I think most folks here would take Morris over LJ any day in 2009.

I can't see the NFL letting a guy like LJ fall to the Pats, but if he did, we can toss Sammy Morris and his injury riddled ass to the curb after this season, .

Why? Sammy Morris is a better running back than Larry Johnson at this point. Johnson is done. His knees are gone, and he has no speed. He can't cut.

Theres no need. Even if he was healthy, it doesn't change the fact that he sucks. Herm ran him into the ground, and his body never recovered. Nobody can take 420 carries in a season.

I don't care about his past one bit. I don't like him as a person from what I've read about him and not just the very recent news either but if he becomes a Patriot he will get my support until such time as he doesn't warrant it anymore.

He had 1700 yards in 2006, on 420 carries.

Since, hes averaged less than 4 yards a carry, fumbles a lot, and can't block.

If the Pats OL can't open up holes big enough for Maroney, which BB has said himself this week, they sure as hell won't be able to open the holes that the Chiefs OL used to be able to do when LJ was actually able to produce cause their runblocking for him those seasons was amazing.

I just saw Larry Johnson on TV recently getting turned down for a date by one of those Kardashian...."ladies." If that doesn't say a lot about his reputation and character, I don't know what does.

And NO!! I don't watch their show, I happened to be flipping through the channels, saw LJ and stopped to see what it was about. DON'T JUDGE ME!!!

What team could resist paying 2.1 million for 8 games for a guy averaging 2.7 ypc, is a locker room problem, and has legal and personal off-field issues? I mean, what's not to love?
