Pete Prisco: "Zach Thomas HOF? NO WAY!"

Status
Not open for further replies.
Thomas will not make the HOF, and shouldn't, 'though I think he's a very, VERY good player.

Ditto on Bruschi.

Jason Taylor IS, and will likely be, a Hall of Famer.

Tom Brady is a no-brainer, unanimous, first ballot HOFer. Brady whines no more than any other team leader in the NFL, and less than some.

Ray Lewis is a Hall of Famer, no question.

I agree that Zach Thomas is overrated, but the idea that he's on par - as an impact player - with Ray Lewis is a joke.

Zach Thomas over rated? This post right here is just more proof of how under rated he is. It's in the numbers dude, Thomas is a great player, but go ahead and continue to ignore it.

Oh yeah Thomas is a Hall of Famer. He is amongst the most elite LB's ever right? WRONG. You have no good arguments to prove he should be in the HoF. Just try and prove why.

apparently numbers don't win championships.
But i have respect for some Fins players. Thomas and Taylor are both amazing players, and i would take them any day of the week.

Thats not the truth you f*cking dumbass.

No respect for Brady because he whines? I havent ever heard Brady complain.

Rodney hasnt done anything to anybody in a Pats uniform. He has never intentionally injured anybody in years. If you knew anything you'd know that he is a classy person.

Yes, it is. Who was voted the dirtiest player in the NFL in a poll last year?

FOXBORO - The votes are in, and the players have spoken - no one’s nastier than Rodney Harrison.

For the second time in three years, Harrison was the landslide winner for the mantle of dirtiest NFL player in a Sports Illustrated poll

As for Brady, I've seen plenty of Pics of him complaining to the refs and sitting on the bench with his head down. Another thing, I'm not to big on his feminine/metro/possibly homosexual lifestyle.

Q: Because what went on this week between the two of you guys? What happened?

TB: Yes. Matt and I fight like teenage girls.

Q: You do?

TB: Yes, we do.

Q: What happened?

TB: We are always slapping each other around and wrestling and slap boxing and [messing] around with each other in the weight room. And so I decided to take that to the next level. And we were messing around in the quarterback room one day and he walked in with a milkshake, and I kind of put my foot by the door, and I kicked the door and the milkshake splashed up and went all over him. So he sat down, and I was laughing. So I said give me the towel, because I wanted to clean up the wall. So I threw the towel at his face, and it had shake all over it. He had a little shake in his mouth and he spit it all over me.

Q: So Cassel spit on you?

TB: Yes. So we had all this shake all over us. I smelled terrible. So I just laughed. I said I don't get mad, I get even. So the next day, I had one of my friends remove all the tires from his car and leave them right at his locker as he walked in off the practice field. So it was pretty good. He had to walk home that day.

I don't care who he dates, that's a little fruity to me.

My point is that during his era (mid 90's to current) no one can count him out of the best LB of that time period. He and Ray Lewis have been the best and it's clear that they are neck and neck in statistics. Thomas has a cleaner slate in terms of off-field issues and doesn't get the media attention Ray does because of some stupid dance or whatever it is he does. The best player at a certain position through a generation should be recognized.

Should I care that there are a bunch of baby WR's scared of recieving a big hit?

Dont be a homophobe. . Hes not even gay. Thats no proof that hes a whiner. And as for arguing with the refs, every other QB does the same.

Umm....no. It's simply a topic to discuss. Clearly, that's too difficult for you to comprehend.
Comprehension, an interesting concept for one delusional enough to care what Prisco writes. But I digress. Why would I want to talk about any current Dolphin's hope of being in the HOF? I don't even want to talk about Tom Brady in the HOF, Andre Tippet, yes, Brady, no. Besides, you rarely discuss topics, that would be contrary to your confrontational style.

Is that so? I might have to look at it the other way. No, I'll give the Lewis the benefit of the doubt, he's close to Thomas, just not as his level.

Thomas and Lewis both came into the league in 1996.

Thomas has registered the following:

1577 tackles
18.5 sacks
17 INTs
17 forced fumbles
7 pro bowls

And Thomas was the all-pro team MLB last season. I thought he was too old?

Lewis

1389 tackles
28 sacks
23 INTs
8 forced fumbles
8 pro bowls

Now to say that neither belongs in the other's leauge is just laugable. Either they're both in the hall, or neither gets in. I vote both in.
YOUR right I'm wrong I did't relise Thomas had made 7 pro bowls. But I think Lewis will get in becaues he's flashier,it shouldn't be like that ,but it is .And why are you listning to PRISCO in the first place?

even if he wasnt as flashy. Hes such an impact guy. On the field with his play and with his vocal leadership. When u hear Ray Lewis u think..that crazy guy with great emotion and loud leader. Hes a beast.

Thats why I wrote my original post LEWIS just seems or seemed to be able to take over a game. I never got that impression with THOMAS.

Who else on the Ravens defense's name do you hear? Yes recently you've had Ed Reed, but Lewis over shadowed him and every one else on that D big time 2 or 3 years ago. That's saying a lot because of some of the names on that D (Adalius Thomas, Bart Scott, Terrell Suggs, even dating back to the days of the Goose.) I've seen the way most Pats fans praise Adalius Thomas (and rightfully so, he's a huge add and a grea player) but he's not the guy that got all the noise on that Baltimore D.

What's my point of all this rambling? Jason Taylor is our Ray Lewis while Zach Thomas is our Adalius Thomas. With that in mind, I'll still take Zach over Adalius, especially in the prime of his career.

On a last note, all those players I listed were there to compliment Lewis. Look at the linebackers Zach has played with in his career. Marlon Greenwood, Donnie Spragan, Channing Crowder have been the recent names while Thomas has been along side potential pro bowlers throughout his career.

So couple that with the stats, and that's my case for Thomas being the better linebacker then Lewis.

Lewis's best years were before Reed arrived.

Sorry we insulted your binkie, but he set the tone of this thread himself with Post #3. If it upsets you so much to hear Pats fans boost their team, if you really agree that Thomas is better than Bruschi and Culpepper is better than Brady, why don't you just go to fin heaven and enjoy yourself?

In the meantime, thanks for putting this where it belongs, in the visiting locker room.

Well, maybe we do care about it. Maybe the list of things it is permissable to talk about includes more than just the things that interest you. Maybe just because you are not interested does not make a subject forbidden.

Pay your bet, AquaBoy.

So if a Patriots fan thinks Thomas is better than Bruschi, he's not a true Pats fans?

Ther have been a lot of great players who have been stiffed by the Hall. It's nothing new.

Aqua's post about Brady & Rodney was pathetic and further proved that he is the most annoying troll on this forum.

I mean the AquaBoy posts abou how Brady is gay and Rodney is the worst most despicable player in the NFL and he doesnt expect some insults in return.

Dude, he has been voted the dirtiest NFL player 2 of the past 3 years. Why is it so hard for you to understand that?

All your doing is basing an opinion off of some yearly poll. Give me a damn example of him playing "dirty" in New England. Plus if I recall your own Joey Porter was #2.

We have seen loads of dirty things done by players in NFL in the past few years. Haynesworth stepped on a guys head. Even Seymour stomped on a Colts player's chest during a play. I havent seen Rodney do anything of that kind. He may have laid some hard hits but hey that is what a lot of safeties do.

It's the things you don't see, the cheap, late and blatent acts that go unseen. I'm sure there have been plenty of players receive some sort of asult at the bottom of a pile from Rodney. They don't vote for him for nothing.
