New rumor I just started because, well, it seemed fitting to start some more baseless rumors: Scott Pioli is waiting for Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft to retire and relinquish his seat to President Jonathan Kraft. This will create an opening for the current Vice-President to move up ladder within a franchise believed to be worth over a billion dollars. Sources close to my cat believe Piol is watching this opportunity like it's a small rodent's front door in the baseboard. Neither Pioli or the Krafts could be reached for comment, but League sources confirmed Pioli is indeed Vice-President for Player Personnel and an up and coming executive within the NFL.

It's troublesome posts like this that keep our Boston media in cannon fodder for weeks! :enranged:

OK, who watched ?

He said that the NY people think Pioli is definitely going to interview (he said he's "continuing his job" not that he wasn't interested later) with the Giants and that Belichick is thought to be going a year behind him.

* I didn't, I live in California. But a friend of mine sent me an email(I just put it daBriunz thread about BB coaching tree) He said Pioli didn't want to do anything now so as not tobe a distraction where the Patriots are still playing. And that some NY reporter told Perillo that Pioli goes this year and BB the next.
My feeling is that it's just rumor and I'll believe it when it happens.

This is a rumor I can take stock in.....thanks, Box, for keeping us abreast (so to speak) of the Patriot gossip. It's knowledge like this that keeps us all better informed

On the the late edition, Felger said that Tanguay was over reaching or words to that effect.

But, Felger did say that Box's cat did have it nailed. Expect a cat fight with Jonathan Kraft in the near future.*

*Felger never said that but I'm reading between the lines just like Tanguay.

Of all people, Felger kind of dismissed this last night. I say "of all people" as Felger will jump on the negative fairly quickly. But he had a valid point that it would be unlike Pioli to be disingenuous and make a statement like this without really meaning it.

Adam Schefter thought it was unlikely that Pioli would still interview as well. On the radio this morning he said that the Giants job would be filled soon, so there wouldn't be a job available for Pioli to interview for.
