In another thread I suggested that you could put together a terrific mock by compiling the most common choices of hardcore draftnik fans of each team. PATSNUTme's draft game gave me perfect fodder for a Patriots version. Below is the PatsFans Common Wisdom Draft -- the most popular selections from the draft game. I've also broken down all votes by position.

(PATSNUTme, I'd love to try a second round of the draft game after the combine and pro days have shaken up the board. It will be interesting to see how much the common wisdom changes...and how well the final Common Wisdom Draft predicts the Pats' actual selections!)

As a footnote, player rankings will most likely change after the combines and pro-day workouts.

I went through and I believe that John Talley CB Duke should be on the list. I counted 4 drafts that he was on.

Yeah, I suspect the count has changed based on new entries after I did my Talley-less tally.

I like Talley a lot in the later rounds. Not a phenomenal athlete, but tremendous ball skills which the Pats always rate highly. The INT and breakup numbers he's put up are especially impressive when you consider that there was nobody else for offenses to worry about on that Duke team.
