Game Day Thread Pats v. Redskins Preseason GDT

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

Lucien looking decent. Even though we don't know where he is in the read progression Hoyer's gotta go through them faster and find the open guy. Lucien was running free over the middle on that drive.

Commentators on the Pats broadcast just said that Gostkowski is a rare breed of kicker that doesn't hear a lot of criticism.

They've clearly never been to our forums...

We're so spoiled. 2 kickers since 1994 is amazing.

"It's amazing how much Brian Hoyer looks like Tom Brady."

-Joe Theismann, on Redskins TV broadcast

He was referring to his mannerisms, gestures and overall demeanor, and he's not wrong.

The difference is that Tommy does it naturally, whereas Hoyer is a poor QB doing his best Brady impression.

Quite frankly I don't care for Hoyer's imitation stuff. It comes across as faux and silly, especially in light of his awful performance.

3 big misses in the biggest game of the year three years running though. Should have brought in some competition. Great career though, but gotta be concerned.

You are spot on! Hoyer is a Brady wannabe and it’s embarrassing. He does all those gestures but can’t complete a pass.

You guys need to chill. It's not like the defense is going to be facing a QB the caliber of Colt McCoy every week, they'll be fine.

Your actually correct. 6 times we get to play our division rivals. McCoy may actually be an upgrade to mccarron, tannehill and a rookie Sam darnold.

For whatever it's worth, the new locker room looks great.

It’d be hella funny if Richards became a good player at long last.

I don't want Richards hurt I just want him asking people "would you like to super-size that?"

Nah, with his degree from Stanford I would figure that he could at least hire the folks to say that.
