It's pre season and it doesn't matter and you don't wanna overreact but i'm not sure why anyone would expect the D to be good, it was bad last year and how many players do the Patriots have who are even top 15 at their position on defense?

They're also one of the slowest defenses in the league, watching them trying to cover a running back dump off has been brutal for well over a year.

I wasn't a big fan of Jacoby. I do like him though

Jeremy Hill has looked good, but he did let the ball out when he hit the ground on his second carry. He fumbled in consecutive practices earlier this week. Fumbling hasn't been a problem for him in his career, though.

I remember his killer fumble in the playoffs late in the game against Pittsburgh a couple years ago. Kinda surprised that he hasn’t fumbled more in his career.

LBs still weak. Need to hope Hightower stays healthy. D line remains to be seen.
