Pats so-called "dynasty" coming to an end

Dynasty

Lets see winning 3 out of 4 isn't a dynasty but one super bowl title and a cheating of the salary cap title is great. The mile high air is having an effect on your brain.

I don't know of many "dynasties" where the team in question failed to make the playoffs one year.

Are you kidding me? Did you just start watching football this year?

The 2002 Patriots didn't even make the playoffs.

Some dynasty!

After going 9-7 and losing on a 3rd tiebreaker in an AFC East that had the 9-7 Jets, the 9-7 Pats, the 9-7 Dolphins, and the 8-8 Bills.

Okay, Look at the era in which the Patriots are having this run. How many teams that WENT to the superbowl failed to make the playoffs the following year during the last 5 or so years. Besides the Patriots the last two years, practically all of them. Off the top of my head, the Eagles, Panthers, Rams, Bucs, Raiders, Giants, and Ravens (I think).

he (the snake) won a playoff game with the cardinals, imagine what he can do with the broncos :rocker:

Yeah! How'd that go last year???

Am I missing sarcasm? Or are you serious? I had fun golfing two weeks ago here in Florida. I'm sure there are some courses open in Hawaii this time of year as well. Moron.

Most all the golf courses in the Denver area (at least East of the mountains) are open, and have been with the exception of a little snow and a 2-week cold snap in December.

This guy's far-reaching knowledge of all things Denver is really something, isn't it?!?

Congratulations on being the luckiest team in NFL history and managing to win 3 superbowls in 4 years.

Your little "run" of playoff success is coming to an end this weekend.

The Denver Broncos are the SUPERIOR team!

I'm really quite impressed that you guys managed that 10-6 record in the weak ass AFC East this year. Way 2 go!

Quite apart from that salary cap thing a few years back that enabled you to take a Super Bowl trophey home, how's it been goin' with you guys? Had much luck since that quarterback...uhh...what's his name, now???? Uhh...Alway, Hallway, or something like that...I dunno....retired?

Anyway, while these Patriot teams have been , uhh, "lucking out", as you so deftly put it, how have your boys been doin'? Well, just so you wouldn't have to, I kinda looked it up. And it seems while the Patriots have cheated, stolen, maimed, plundered and raped their way into the playoffs over these years your boys have won...SQUAT!!! Boy! After your numerous posts extolling this Bronco team as the greatest thing since the Pet Rock craze, I thought for sure they had discombumalated everything and everyone in sight!

Imagine my intense disappointment when I found out that wasn't the case!

Well, let's take a slightly different tack, one that might strengthen your arguments, such as they are....

Now, we all, I think, recognize the aforementioned quarterback - Alway? - as being a pretty damn fine QB. But he's gone now, so we move our analysis on...

Hmmm, seems you've got the same coach as when Alway (?) quit. That should count for something. You yourself said so! I mean, this morning no less an authority than the Denver Post called him a "genius"! And that was literally right next to a column about his counterpart in this game, one Bill Belichick, who was referred to as someone who is looking for "whatever works best"!

So how has he done? Hmmmm...hasn't won a damn thing in post season since the QB guy quit. Hmmmm....what do ya think that means?

OK, but this is a different team....Let's see...they won 13 games in the regular season...check that - that's good! Hmmm...have they done anything else besides that? Let me check - NOPE!

But surely in the past the home crowd has counted for something! No, wait! This is the first playoff game EVER at Invesco Field at Mile High!

Well, that settles it for me, and probably every other Patriot fan here on this board. A careful reasoned analysis, done mostly by YOU, has shown us we don't stand a stinking chance in Hell of winning this game tomorrow night! Look at the history! Look at the record!

Speaking of records, let me just say, "for the record", you guys do not have a single clue about what is coming down the Pike at you, do you? It is likely you won't be available for posting Sunday, as you'll be recovering from the shock, but Monday postings from you we will look forward to.

And if you'll be drinking that Coors, be careful! Don't get caught! There's that thing about minors and alchohol you know, and I'm pretty sure Colorado frowns on it. Don't say you haven't been warned!

Enjoy the game!

One of the dumbest things I ever read!

This is one of the dumbest things I ever read . .

For one, the Pats are dynasty.

For two, Belichick isn't just better than Shanahan, he is better than ever other coach in the league.

For three, this TEAM has won 10 consecutive playoff games in a row. When was the last time the Broncos won a playoff game? If I recall, for the past two years, they have gone home with their tail between their legs! That makes the Patriots a better team.

Its very simple . . . Brady plays for the Pats and for that reason the Pats will win.

Oh, I have a clue what's coming down the pike at us--the most overrated pansy ass team in the history of the NFL! You guys are gonna get CRUSHED tomorrow! ORANGE CRUSHED!

Your gonna be left dazed, confused, and lying in the gutter crying for you mommas!

Ya see, I am THE ASS of the AFC! (and there ain't a goddam thing you can do about it!)

Interesting...

I swore I wouldnt get into smack talk but this deserves a reply. You can pick any era and a team was strggling. Where were the Patriots at in the late 90's. No where to be found I believe. You guys have on top of your game for a few years but all good things must come to an end. As with any other dynasty your crazy to think it will last forever. So before you wanna say we went out of the playoffs the last few years with our rails between our legs. You should realize and admit your team struggles for quite awhile.

:trolls: No more. Dont talk to these clowns. This is old.

You think history started in the late 90's? How interesting!

You must be a "Young Earth" proponent.

well, we can mock you and your abject stupidity. I find that fun.

Can you stop Mike Anderson? Tatum Bell? Rod Smith?

No?

Goodbye Patriots!

I'll give you the first two. But Smith seems to go awol at the most inopportune times.

Your Wrs and TEs are nothing to write home about, whereas the Pats will show you how far we've come since our last tilt..

Buster likes to move the target around a lot. Either that, or he truly is as breathtakingly ignorant as he seems.

What are you smoking? Pats weren't anywhere to be found in the late 90's? I guess that SB in 1996 doesn't count, does it? Or the fact the Pats were in the play-offs in 1997 and 1998. WOW. So the Pats missed the playoffs in 1999 and 2000. 2000 was BB's 1st year and he was handed a mess that was left by that moron Bobby Grier. (BTW, anyone surprised at the Texans mess? )

It amazes me how stupid supposed fans are.

No one thinks the Pats dynasty is going to last forever. But it takes more than what has happened for a dynasty to be considered ENDED. And it will take more than one play-off loss for the dynasty to be considered ended. Now, run along, junior.

An oversight...

Your team hasn't won a playoff game this century.

I beg your pardon. Don't you really mean this Millenium??
