Pats so-called "dynasty" coming to an end

The Pats are not a dynasty. For one thing, four years is an awfully short dynasty. For another, a true dynasty doesn't go and miss the playoffs in the second year of their four year run.

Mike Shanahan is a better coach that Bill Bellichick. Bellichick may have one more superbowl ring but Shanahan's body of work over the course of his entire career is far superior. After the game tonight, EVERYONE will know that Shanahan is indeed, the best coach.

Now git back in the kitchen and make he some pie!

You'd think even someone as stupid as Buster would manage to spell 'Belichick' right just once. Refer to NFL record book for correct spelling. You'll find 'Belichick' just above 'Lombardi'.

he (the snake) won a playoff game with the cardinals, imagine what he can do with the broncos :rocker:

Why would we need to imagine something that we've already seen happen?

Jake has played 2 playoff games with Denver. In the first game Jake played so well that when he led the Broncos to their first TD the score was 41-3 and it was the 4th quarter. He got much better last year by leading them to a 3rd quarter TD when the score was only 35-3.

dynasty, shminasty

have never cared about the name placed on something that speaks for itself. the patriots of this era will be judged by others, not little punk get-a-lifers like you, son.
you think shanahan is a better coach than belichick? and it's going to be proved in one game? ok, if you say so...meanwhile, belichick has his lombardis, and shanahan has his.

How many rings do Belichick have? FIVE--and he is the ONLY coach with a defensive gameplan enshrined in Canton. www.allthingsbillbelichick.com

You will note that Belichick's First Ring was in a ROUT of the Broncos.

In terms of Dynasty--the New England Patriots are 68-22 with 3 Super Bowls since the commencement of the 2001 season. Find me a 5 year stretch for ANY team in NFL history that matches this--3 Super Bowl Championships and 68 victories in 5 years (AND COUNTING).

Who says it was?

Would you say it was the defenses fault that Jake and the offense couldn't score a TD their first 7 offensive series in the 2004 game or the first 6 times in 2005 - against an awful defense? I'm not sure what the defense has to do with that. Those games were not 41-38 and 35-31 when Jake finally led them to a TD. They were 41-3 and 35-3.

You appear to have inadvertently stumbled into the Peyton Manning apologist defense which says his defense is the only reason he loses in the playoffs yet can't explain how it is the D's fault that the offense has just 50 points in the 5 losses.

Your original point was everyone should imagine seeing Jake playing for Denver in the playoffs and fear it because he once won a playoff game with Arizona. I still don't see why you think his performance 7 years ago in Arizona is more relevant than his performances in Denver the last 2 years when it is undeniable that he has been irrelevant at best. Terrible would probably not be an out of line description of the performance of a QB who got no TDs against the last 2 Colts Ds until the game was long over.

You are counting Bellichick's rings from when he was an assistant? That is WEAK! If that is how you gonna play, then lets count all Mike Shanahan's rings that he won when he was with the 49ers!

After today, there will be no doubt who the better head coach is--Mike "the mastermind" Shanahan!

Are you just stupid? The Patriots haven't just been good the last 4 years.
In actuality, the Pats have a nice 10 year run going.

1996-2005: (101-59 .631 winning %)
8 Winning seasons
1 Losing Season
1 .500 Season.

7 play-off appearances (including this year)
6 Division Titles (a 7th was lost on 3rd tiebreaker)
4 AFC Championship Titles
4 SB Appearances
3 SB Titles

21 Game Winning streak
18 game Regular season Winning Streak
10 game Winning Streak in play-offs

Play-off record: 13-3 in their last 16 play-off games. That is an .813 winning %)

That Spells Dynasty baby.

Wow. 10 year run, huh?

Funny how the Patriots have been the Denver Broncos favorite punching bag for most of those 10 years.

This troll smells worse as the day goes on. Have to get the site fumigated after this week.

Oh brother. Its amazing how you just can't accept that the Patriots have been on a good run. What have your Broncos done in the last 10 years?

Oh, the Broncos haven't done much except won a couple of superbowls, won more games than any other team in the league, scored more points than any other team in the league, run for more yards than any other team in the league, made the playoffs 7 times, won 18 games in a row, and had the best three year run in NFL history ('96-'98).

Other than that, not much!

Oh, and did I mention that we also started a new trend in football uniforms?

"Denver Broncos style" uniforms are now the standard in NFL and college. Ya see, everyone wants to look like a winner! But there can be only one DENVER BRONCOS.

And it is my understanding that Barrel Man invented the Internet! And that Mike Shanahan has been nominated for a Pulitzer! And that Jake Plummer has received a Medal of Honor!

come to the end of our road

I agree. The so-called dynasty will be over this season. Whether its tonight or next week. No worries though, they had a good run.

Ah, memories. That's what you'll be after tonight. Throw in a tape of those SB's after tonight's devastating loss. It'll be good therapy.
