The penalties imposed on Germany are too stiff IMO.So am I. Is there something wrong with that?
I would agree. It’s unprecedented and could have future consequences. The penalties imposed on Germany are too stiff IMO.

There may be too many leaders with 19th century mindsets and not enough with 20th century forward thinking.I'm sure the League of Nations will overturn the unjust ruling.

Stagnation, inflation in triple digits will only lead to a national insecurity and resentment towards the rest of Europe and those that have money, real or imagined. This lack of self will likely leave a void of leadership.I don't see how they don't. The sanctions may lead Germany to simply print more money which would devalue their currency and further destabilize the country.
Looking at the current roster, there are no GLARING holes..sure there are areas that need some improvement but hopefully getting players off IR and healthy , along with a couple of solid draft picks, will fill areas of concern ( mostly depth)......This time of year always causes heartburn for some fans but when is the last time the Patriots were not considered playoff and/or SB contenders???

It will only lead to more trouble in the future. Especially if weak leaders elsewhere try appeasement to placate the resentment.Stagnation, inflation in triple digits will only lead to a national insecurity and resentment towards the rest of Europe and those that have money, real or imagined. QB: We are fine here. I don't even want us to take a developmental prospect because personally, I am all in on Brady to the end. If Brady gets knocked out...the season is over as far as I am concerned...will still watch and root for Hoyer....but if someone like Lamar Jackson is available...could be intriguing.
DB: Gilmore, McCourty/Rowe, J.Jones....that is a solid 3 man group at CB, IMO. And we still might get something...anything from C.Jones. Then for the safeties...we still have our trio of McCourty/Chung/Harmon...which is probably the best safety trio in the league, IMO. We have Ebner and King backing them up...but those guys are ST aces. Then there's Jordan Richards....who has been a bit of a disappointment, but has been playing behind good safeties and unable to earn reps...which might be a good thing anyway.
See my post above. Rowe graded out as the worst slot CB in the NFL last year. This was talked about a lot during Super Bowl week as something the Eagles needed to exploit. And they did. The Pats need one more CB veteran/rookie who could play the slot/outside. Wouldn't be shocked if the Pats draft one in the 1st round to compete with Rowe/Jones. Aaron Colvin would've been a nice pick up. As far as the safeties go, they are good. People complain about McCourty not getting the ESPN highlight plays but he does a good job of keeping plays in front of him and not allowing big plays. But the best group in the NFL are the 49ers safeties. Those young guys can hit and cover a lot of ground.
