It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Too much money they'll pass unless he wants 3 million base plus incentives. He's more or less like Saks 5th and the Patriots shop at Marshalls. Love bargin basement shoppingSign Cook. Still has speed.
So you really think Stevenson can just turn down work? Say “no coach I’m taking this play off”? How do you think that will get him treated? On a slightly unrelated topic, why did we not resign Damien Harris. He went for a 1 year 1.77 million contract which is slightly over vet minimum . If I am Stevenson , I would be very wary of taking a large workload because of the way pats treat their running backs after rookie contracts.
Last visit he had a Patriot free lunch and Dinner then signed with the Bucs...moocher!!
Lenny didn’t like the chowdah either?Must've been the same lunch and doggie bag Dhop got..
I don't know what choices RBs have but maybe after a stellar 8 -10 game season , fake injury or reduce effort to reduce wear or negotiate contract mid season .So you really think Stevenson can just turn down work? Say “no coach I’m taking this play off”? How do you think that will get him treated?
The Union will never support a change which elevates one position group over another in the CBA. The only people who care about RBs being treated unfairly are RBs. Safeties and linemen and corners aren’t going to sacrifice their money for someone else.I don't know what choices RBs have but maybe after a stellar 8 -10 game season , fake injury or reduce effort to reduce wear or negotiate contract mid season .
I feel there has to be exit clause for Running backs after 3 years and franchise tag will only net them a 3rd rounder . That way they can get a bigger contract for year 4 and 5 and mid size for year 6 . 4 years of rookie and 1 year if franchise tag is criminal when you consider that they have just 6-9 years in NFL. Or guarantee them a bonus of 2 million if they cross 500 yards in a season on rookie contract and bonus of 5 million if they cross 1000 yards. That's the only way you can keep salaries of everyone in check
I wanted him too, but he is 31 (32 is the "cliff age" of WRs - general rule) and not on PEDs anymore. The PED thing has always bothered me because I don't know why Hopkins used them, but I assume the Pats vetted that before making an offer. Overall it would be nice to have a top WR, even if his availability was spotty IMO.
I love Bourne but there are obvious problems. Maybe he can keep his head on straight but getting married usually is not easy the first few years. We will see, Bourne has a lot of physical talent, but stability issues have always plagued him, not just last year. Kyed is saying Hopkins would have pushed Bourne out which means he is WR #4.
Bill generally gets a pass from me on anything. Signing Fournette would test my loyalty though. **** no.

That bothered me too. It wasn't HGH for healing either like Rodney had, it was ostarine which is banned by WADA and the IOC with similar effects as anabolic steroids. He gave the usual "I didn't know I took it" excuse that almost all drug cheats use. There had to be a reason why he took it.I agree the PEDs shouldn’t be downplayed.

I was unfamiliar with Ostarine so looked it up. Scary stuff, not even available via prescription in the U.S:
"You cannot buy Ostarine legally over the counter because it is not approved for human use or consumption in the U.S., or in any other country. However, there are some products that claim to contain Ostarine or similar ingredients, but they are not legal or safe. Keep in mind that Ostarine is not currently available as a prescription medication in any country. No matter what medical condition you have, your doctor is not legally allowed to prescribe ostarine to you as a treatment."
But this might give Hopkins the benefit of a doubt:
"Ostarine is an investigational drug and therefore not approved for any use by the US FDA. Despite this, it is still sometimes found in dietary supplements, particularly those marketed for bodybuilding."
All of NFL players are pretty much independent contractors. Your absolutely right on your assessment. Look at saquon he is thinking of holding out for the season.. look at laveon bell.. he regrets sitting out that season. Running backs are probably becoming the most devalued position in NFL becuase the hits they take, the wear and tear.. rham for example said he was worn down by seasons end.. mainly becuase we had no real offense and everything went through him to move the ball. But.. yeah RBs they won't see any more large contracts saquon was lucky to get the 10 million tag.. heck cook is on the open market without a contract. The Union will never support a change which elevates one position group over another in the CBA.
