LOL....... Same 2 fair weather chumps..... Always

Actually, you just described yourself pining for the tailgating and the empty seats.

That's fine for Tripadvisor.com, but this is a Patriots fan website.

We kind of care about the game. Back, when I lived in NE and would go to 3-4 games per year, I dreamed of the team being what it is now (back in the 70's, when even LOCAL IHOPS carried ll otherteams plastic mini helmets, but not the lousy Pats) that was a ridiculous dream. I dreamed of the stadium being packed to the gills (and sometimes it was - - there was nothing like the mid 70's).

I beg to differ on the fair weather part of your post. Not only have we established that you're clearly lying about your past and going to the games, but your join date says 2010. We've now established that you, yourself, are a fairweather fan on top of being a compulsive liar (and probably a thief).

I always cared about the game.......it's a little different when you're a kid.....I was always a fan.....

What am I pining for? The tailgating was just better back then......football is still football......and if the result is the only thing you care about, then you don't need to go at all

You've established nothing.......business as usual....

But, oddly, you do seem to care a lot about me......

I haven't had to establish anything. You've done that yourself by bragging up and down this thread about nonsense. Not a single person in this thread believes that you used to tailgate at Pats games with your family.

Sounds like it matters to you........you must have issues

It matters a lot. We need to separate the true fans from the liars and fair weather bunch. These Pats games are very serious business.

You DO have issues......seek help

No issues here. I'm just a true blue Pats fan through and through that doesn't appreciate his teams name being smeared through vicious deceit like you've been doing in this thread.

Nahhhh..... You have issues....... Seek help...

True blue through and through......you are obviously trying to convince yourself of something

That's moronic. Tailgating is what you make of it, nothing has changed from your "bad/good ol' days" except for better parking lots. And if you gave up your tickets in 2005 -- eight years ago -- how could you possibly know it hasn't improved tremendously?

Because people like you and the pink hats are still there.

Never said bad days .... Just liked it better then. I liked the cost of going to a game better then, too.....my man cave is a massive improvement

People like me -- a dedicated fan who has missed two home games in 21 years and has done more tailgating than you've had a chance to dream of. Gotcha.

You must mean eunuch cave. Because if you had any balls you'd brave the "pink hats" and attend the damn games, especially living 10 minutes away.

If you, indeed, are agoraphobic or disabled I'll apologize in advance. Otherwise you're a phony.

Boston Globe = Dan Shaughnessy = Boston Red Sox = Joe Sullivan = Late Will McDonough (Friend of Whitey Bulger, Enemy of Bob Kraft)

The masses take what they read at face value and don't understand the business/social background to all that.

Of course they will publish a piece like this on the eve of the Patriots first playoff game.

Should one expect anything different from The Globe?

Wow....that's a frikkn bizarre thought process.....

But I LIKE it! Didn't make sense at first, then it sunk in...It's TRUE!

no need to apologize.....you're everything from behind a keyboard, but otherwise a little sackless dweeb

Your notion that fandom requires personal attendance is obviously at odds with just about 100% of the world.

noun
1.
the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.
synonyms: dissimulation, false virtue, cant, posturing, affectation, speciousness, empty talk,

If there is any truth to this article then its great for me and for all out of the area Patriots fans. I have been thinking for a while now that I want to go to Foxboro for a playoff game and I had seriously starting thinking of doing that next year ( should we make it ofcourse) Travelling from the west coast is expensive as is, so if I can get tickets a little cheaper than that's great. Ofcourse I am not really buying what the writer is selling but it bears watching !!
