The Pats were invited GUESTS in Green Bay and both teams agreed to the rules and parameters of the week long ago. All was well until the Packers took it to the Pats and dominated at Wednesdays practice. The Pats watched the film and came out Thursday not looking to be productive and have another quality practice like Wednesday. Nope, they came out Thursday looking to fight and not get embarrassed again.
Saturday the two teams were warming up on opposite sides of the field in pre-game warm ups, which is customary, and some of the Pats decided to walk across the fifty to the Packers side and start their immature chirping again for some odd reason. Totally unacceptable.
Then the game starts and the Packers hand the Pats 7 points, C Josh Myers botched a snap. The next time the Packers get the ball the Packers are driving, J-Love scrambles for 11 yards and slides. All is well right? Nope, the Pats feel the need to take a late cheap shot to his neck and head area after he slides. Obvious intent to injure the Packers QB1. We are back to the Thursday unacceptable Pats crap again. The Packers finish the drive and score. Game tied 7-7. The Packers pull all starters, because they are not going to engage further with these hooligans and risk any unnecessary injuries.
Early in the 4th quarter a Pats player(Bolden) is possibly seriously injured in a collision with his own teammate. Matt LaFleur discusses things with Bill Belichick and the officials. A decision is made to contact New York and get approval on suspending the game. Game suspended and the classy fan base in Green Bay applauds the decision.
There are reports that the Titans were not interested in the Pats coming to Nashville after what they heard took place in Green Bay.
This type of thing has happened before this year with the Pats. This has become an ongoing theme of joint practices with the Pats. They are going to find it difficult to find partners for joint practices in the future. Not anyones fault but their own.
We are all pleased to hear that Bolden is perfectly fine. The Pats have left Green Bay and good riddance. The Packers can now get back to what has been a FANTASTIC and very productive training camp.
