Here's what I don't get. Ralph Wilson started up the Bills for $X0,000 45 years ago, which is the price of a crack house on Buffalo's brutal East Side. By the time he dies, the franchise will be worth a billion dollars. Do you all think the 45 year support of Buffalo Bills fans had anything to do with the HUGE increase from his initial investment? If you answer yes, don't you think he owes it to the fans to sell the team now while there are willing buyers in the Buffalo area instead of having his family auction it off to the highest bidder after he croaks?
I'm not going to bemoan any of these rich guys their fortune, but at some point you have to say, "Hey Ralph, the average working man has helped you become filthy rich. Do you feel any responsibility whatsoever to repay their loyalty?"
As for Indy and all these people with crumbling schools and infrastructure who would rather make the Irsay family billionaires into perpetuity rather than give their kids a fighting shot at life... what more is there to say?
In Minnesota, you have bridges falling down, while the politicos are drinking champagne at the groundbreaking of the new stadium.
Seriously, I wonder why these people don't get it. If you all were worth a $1 billion dollars, wouldn't you do the right thing? Make sure the franchise stayed local? Financed your own stadium? Am I crazy?
