Well he was on the team before. I assume he is basing this on things he's heard Belichick say before.

I call BS. Belichick always talks up the opposition. I've heard him talk in the locker room about the other team being overconfident, but never that they were not a capable and worthy opponent. So now he supposedly talks down the team that clobbered us in the AFC championship as "frontrunners?"
