Mac has had trouble since the Dugger intercept incident when he angrily stormed off, and came back wearing a compression sleeve. He hasn't been the same since. Despite the denials, the evidence is consistent with his hurting his arm, which makes sense with a lot of high effort reps with a new throwing motion. I think that's actually more likely than him just suddenly becoming worse than mediocre after his strong start. It seems like all 3 QBs were getting picked, and of course there were all the sacks. So that argues for the OLine having really substantial problems. It's also pretty apparent from what we're reading here that Mac seems to be having trouble right now and the last few days. Though the real question, is he especially bad compared with Zappe--using Z as the control group--is another question.
Okay, every day can't be the best day. Or even a good day. Maybe it's within the realm of Andrews-pep-talk fixing. That's me not giving in to despair too quickly.
Do you think he hurt his arm by throwing his helmet in disgust?Mac has had trouble since the Dugger intercept incident when he angrily stormed off, and came back wearing a compression sleeve. The old High Grammatica injuryDo you think he hurt his arm by throwing his helmet in disgust?
The old High Grammatica injury
some reporting that BB is saying things about how if the offense is not productive, at some point you have to make changes. I THINK it's a today article. I should have copied the link.
The discussion was about Patricia and Judge, knucklehead.Yup. Steve and Brian Belichick’s relationship with Bill is because of coaching. Such a genius Andy.
As far as I know, that's the only interception that he's ever run off the field in disgust from. So he's super competitive but has since come to terms with sucking a**? It's not credible to me that only that one training camp interception caused him to freak out. And since then he's sporting a compression sleeve and playing worse than Zappe. Can't blame that on the OL. C'mon folks, something's wrong. There were rumors he hurt his arm towards the end of last season. Maybe he's had a recurrence. It's a career disaster for Mac if his arm can't hold up. Tens of millions of dollars are at stake for him. I'm guessing that's why helmets were flying.Do you think he hurt his arm by throwing his helmet in disgust?
for both teams...I'm guessing THursday night vs the Giants is going to be a clown show on offense...
He should be isolated to the Tampa forum regardless. Why is @Deus Irae posting stuff that was already posted 3 hours ago? If you are going to put someone on ignore, at least double check that you are not posting duplicate material already posted by the person you have on ignore…

the offense mught be struggling mightily but i am sure a lot of the media like to see it fail just because of pure hatred for patricia and judge and the choices to run the offense . its an easy thing to sell .

Way too much handwringing over the offense right now.
They'll get there one way or the other whether it's the hybrid WCO or back to EP.
As a rule offenses with talent do very well.
Qb- Above average
RB- Solid if not above average
WR- No true #1 but a bunch of #2s
TE- Solid. If Smith plays to his capability, above average
OL-TBD but with the exception of Strange have performed well at an NFL level
They'll be fine.
My point is it's Aug 9th. We don't play a regular season game for another month plus.I don't think posters are looking for fine or above average, which feels like the current ceiling even if things are fixed.
After last year, posters were looking for improvement over that above average offense.
It's difficult without a #1 WR, so where is improvement coming even if this is fixed?
How do we compete against the Bills, Chiefs, Raiders, Bengals with this level of confusion and inferior personnel? Coaching was our best hope and that looks like a sh_t show.
I think that's the frustration and why the handwringing is justified.

In addition the team always starts measured as they try to figure things out and never firing on all cylinders in Sept. It's a process. Fans forget or don't know that.
The offense finished 7th in points with a rookie QB. Yes, we all expect Mac to improve but the cast is better around him. Improved Smith. Parker, Thornton, etc. Do people think Mac will be horrible all year based on 10 practices? Really?
I think some posters are impatient, knee-jerk in their reaction to news (positive and negative), shallow in their talent evaluation, and in constant need of real-time affirmation.
This is a place for uninhibited, unfiltered raw reaction to news about the team and that's fine.
It's also a place for a measured take on what is going on with the team.
