Hey Cap, you've come to camp in great shape. You're almost in mid season form and the pads aren't on yet. Cheers, mateOverheard: "...Elliot, our Offensive Tackles kinda...suck, don't they...?"

The worst lines in the league have no pro bowl caliber linemen, none or maybe one.I feel like everyone is somehow, once again, underestimating just how bad the OL is going to be. Unreal that the Pats are still in this spot.
I heard ALL the excuses under the sun, was called a troll, told to follow a different team, etc for pointing out the OL's weakness last offseason. Not going to use camp as an excuse... they don't have a serviceable LT or RT anywhere on the roster right now, and won't when the real games start either. Brissett will be running around like a chicken with his head cut off. It's camp. We know they can move Owenhu out to RT if needed at any point. But they don't want to, so they have to see if anybody can step up at RT so they don't have to move him.
Well, you'll probably hear that all again this season. Hopefully not next.I heard ALL the excuses under the sun, was called a troll, told to follow a different team, etc for pointing out the OL's weakness last offseason. I don’t think Zappe’s going to let himself rot on the practice squad year after year. He wants to play. With a few injuries this season, I think there’s a decent chance he gets signed to another team, even if they protect him. He’s a functional backup with starting experience in the NFL. I think people on this board are underestimating the value of that to other teams.I think Pats will have a tough time getting Milton through waivers to stash him on the PS. Zappe will have a much easier time getting there as we saw a year ago.
Maybe. It didn't happen last year. But Nathan Peterman still has a job so who knows.I don’t think Zappe’s going to let himself rot on the practice squad year after year. He wants to play. He also might head to the CFL or another league. I think he wants to play in the NFL, but not this way.
Thats just not true. If this team was "bad everywhere" they'd have junked the defensive players entirely.
I don't know about you but yes this ^ sucks for me. 4-13 teams are bad everywhere. Period.
That's also true for coaching, it's been terrible and hopefully that's been corrected.
Are you two always like this, I mean I'm a rookie and not up to speed yet. But my god you sure do go at it.
Only good news is that there is lots of dough (relative to other teams), and being 3rd on the waiver wire could land some real help on the line.
I don’t think they will…... the offense will take some time to catch up to the offense... if it ever does.
We'll see if the offensive line can block, if so they should be fine.I don’t think they will…
They’ll be going round and round chasing their tails forever, just like some posters on here
I went yesterday, beautiful day to watch practice.Well, I'm kinda bummed but I guess the real facts will come out in the Patriots preseason games. Can't watch the pads practice at camp at all if your not there. Hopefully we will have good insiders to evaluate our hopes for the season.
Have to wait for the pads to come on to know if these guys can blockWe'll see if the offensive line can block, if so they should be fine.
