Long term the plan would be to just have Maye as QB1 and Milton as QB2. When they get there is anyone's guess. Milton passing Zappe is a good sign for his development. Perhaps they can just carry Maye/Milton in 2025 and avoid needing to overpay a veteran - a cheap journeyman QB3 on the PS is probably sufficient at that point. Hell, that guy might just be Zappe.

I think Pats will have a tough time getting Milton through waivers to stash him on the PS. Zappe will have a much easier time getting there as we saw a year ago.

Agree. Zapp is currently 4th on the depth list.

Limited upside to Zappe, much greater upside to Milton. Milton and Maye doing well enough does away with any reason to keep Zappe. They will carry 3 qb's.

It’s really hard to gauge the defense’s function in the shadow of the offenses’s dysfunction. Let’s hope the OL musical chairs settles down soon.

I don't know, I think Milton and Zappe would both make it thru waivers.
If Milton shows anything at some point this camp or preseason, then that could change.
