Patriots Trade for Michael Bennett

Right, because Bennett would never get a 15 yard unnecessary roughness penalty in a critical moment

So, you don't want him. Just say it instead of dancing around it.
I don't want him either, even at the vet minimum. He's too old, too expensive, too costly to acquire, and is a garbage human being.

If this trade does happen, then Bennett becomes my most despised player to wear the Elvis since the Late Prisoner (Stomper Meriweather if we're not counting convicted felons).

We can only HOPE on these guys. Bennett is likely to give us pass rush productivity that we can COUNT on.

That would be cool for a change. Just see what a difference pressure and sacks do for our DBs. Confidence, Swagger and Results are endless.

Very interesting...I'm pretty sure this move wasn't made without Schiano signing on to it. In any case:

How long ago did he make these comments? 2012?

Sounds like it's a done deal.

I honestly don't want martellus or dola back. We need to get younger at those positions.

Gronk, Bennett, TE from first 2 rounds
Edelman, Amendola, Dorsett, WR from first 3 rounds, OWR2 or OWR2

I'm not really seeing any problem with that. With Bennett and Amendola, you'd have contracts allowing you to get free of them if they don't look worth keeping come cutting time.

Interesting. The guy who won the Pats a SB in 2014 (His offside penalty basically ended the game for sure. Before that It was about 95% over. There was still a slim chance Seattle could've forced a fumble recovery of some sort) could also help win them a SB in 2019. Irony.

Yes, it was a slim chance. And Bennett tried to up the odds by getting a jump. It was worth the gamble. The guy who won the Super Bowl for the Pats played cornerback.

BTW- His comments about Schianno should be tempered a bit. It seems they came back in 2012, so I assume both men have matured since then. There won't be any problems, not that that will stop the talking heads from making it a big deal.

Yeah, not even worried about it at all. Locker room issues are waaaayyy overblown in professional sports. Owners own, coaches coach, players play, fans watch, and the talking heads spin up the BS. That's how it goes...

I don't even like everyone I work with, but I do my job. BB really runs a tight ship...and per that article from '12...Bucs players were getting a kick out of how Schiano revered Belichick (shrugs). Not to mention the Rutgers boys on D....

Lying scumbag. I’m going to have a very difficult time rooting for him. Whatever. I’ll just have to stomach it for one season more than likely because the dude is long in the tooth.

Not thrilled. I still don't think he's a very good person. But what the heck, we're trying to win championships, not sainthood.

Yeah that’s how I’m taking it. I gotta be honest though that watching him tear his ACL at some point in the season wouldn’t overly upset me the way that the same thing happening to literally the rest of our team would.

can i ask what difference his money not being guaranteed makes to the cap hit? thx

So what you’re saying is that we can expect great things from him this season?

I’ve been working hard on my comprehension so plz let me know if I inferred incorrectly.
