Patriots trade 5th Rounder

Really miss that extra Fifth Rounder that said the Pats have done well in the Fifth Round in the past. I think some of these picks should make some of those deadwood picks nervous like Devin Asiasi - Dalton Keene - Yodny Cajuste and SlowJuan Willams just to name a few. I think we have more than seen enough of those guys no pun intended. That's a lot of good Draft capital Three Thirds and and a Second they will be playing for their NFL lives in TC 2022 no more free ride on the Patriots roster. P.s. we might get another Sixth for Harry.

The problem with Twitter is that the speech of the few becomes amplified
Trump and those that love or hate him ruined Twitter for me. It used to be a place where funny people could have a passive audience. It’s still good during the draft, I presume, but I don’t wish to tread there anymore.

Pats have had decent success in the 5th round with STers and OLs

Bailey
Bentley
Cardona
Cannon
Mesko
Slater
Koppen

Historically they seemed to double up in the 4th and 6th round. I wonder why they don't like the 5th rd? They've had good success.

Two things are not like the others...

I am fairly sure that Araiza will be gone well before pick 170, let alone 183.
I'm really interested to see where he goes. He's such an outlier for the position. Guessing 3rd round, and it won't be the pats. But I know next to nothing.

I don’t think they see a difference between late 5th and early 6th. They gained a player to move back and probably take the same guy they would taken any way.
Yea probably.

Yeah that's was my original thought too even though the pick is the lesser of the two but still greater thank than all those Sixths. I guess our brass have their sights set on some diamonds in the rough.

The high point of my brief Twitter "career" was letting Armin Schimerman know that there's a German dairy food called Quark He asked if it was any good. I'm surprised no one ever mentioned it to him before.

I was retweeted by the late Joan Rivers

My tweet:
Never ask a woman if she is pregnant unless you see an actual baby being born. Even then, act surprised.

I hated that tweet but it went semi-viral. I picked up 1200 followers in less than an hour.

I was told that there would be a discussion about a minor trade here…..

Has anyone else experienced 7 minutes of twitter fame? Such an interesting discussion.

If I had to put money on it, I'd guess 4th round, still not the Patriots.

On a quasi-serious note, you could call where the Pats took Gostkowski the "Ghost line." Not many specialists get drafted higher than that. The most glaring exception (since), of course, being the incomprehensible** second round pick of Roberto Aguayo.

**I'm sorry, but just a cursory look at his stats, without any tape, should have raised red flags.

Janikowski went 17 OVERALL. That is still baffling to me to this day. Not to say he wasn't good, but he wasn't first round kicker good.

Had to look this up.... as far as punters, Todd Sauerbrun was drafted 56th and Bryan Anger 70th.

Tom E Curran liked one of my replies once, so there's that. Happy to add to this fine topic.
