Good. Next year we have Nink and Flowers under contract. That is not ideal but good enough for starters if it comes to it. Hopefully we can keep Sheard though but if i need to let someone walk it is him.

Belichick is likely to extend Sheard and/or Long.

Would love to see Sheard extended.. Long I would wait until he's proved himself over some regular season games

OK with me, the Patriots have a lot of work to do and the more they can get done before the season ends the better. I would obviously feel better if they could get one of those two done because the other can be franchised, but I still like to see them get the ones that matter done.

So they lower his base salary and he effectively does not lose salary due to his suspension ... brilliant.
