you can't possibly think that his performance contributed to their wins could you? If so, then why didn't the JETS make the playoffs last year? Based on your concept of wins matter you should agree that he stunk it up pretty bad last year. But I'm guessing you're just trolling looking to argue with someone.

Eh, you're swinging too hard to the other side now. You have to give Tebow credit for those drives at the end of the games. You also have to give credit for the Denver defense keeping it close when their offense couldn't get out of their own way for 3+ quarters and the other team for sucking as well.

Not sure what it is about this signing that has people venting this displeasure. If Tebow doesn't work out then the Pats cut him ..... no harm, no foul. If he works out then maybe he helps this team win a game or two.

I don't know. Tebow's a pretty miserable failure as an NFL QB. Kafka's nothing special, but as a camp arm he's probably better than the Tebow circus even if Tebow himself isn't really at fault for that (nor is he a cancer by any means). If he's a camp arm and a developmental Swiss Army knife, that's different. But as a camp QB, you'd rather have someone who has an NFL caliber arm at least.

Miserable failure is a bit strong .

He is 9-7 as a starter in the NFL and the playoff game he won as a starter had A LOT to do with the way HE played.

Miserable failure was Jamarcus Russel.

I've seen it first hand - What you think is going to happen and what IS going to happen are 2 very different things.

The Tebow Circus is upon you and it doesn't die down - it builds and builds and builds

Thats a media created myth. In the jets forums 20 people showed up pro tebow and about 40 showed up anti tebow...so the ones that sign up and hate Tebow will out number his fans, just watch. .

Of course his performance contributed to their wins. Only a complete fool would claim otherwise.

And I'm not trolling at all. If you'd bothered actually reading what I've posted, you'd have seen that, given what I noted about his likelihood of long-term success.

Why you bother with this is beyond my understanding. Mark Sanchez has more playoff wins than Tim Tebow. Perhaps the Patriots should target Sanchez given their apparent interest in below average positional players.

Media Circus aside (which i think should be muted by the pats somewhat)

I think this isn't the worst move. He won't be playing QB but he could in a pinch (i.e injury to Brady then Mallett in one game)

Lets us carry just 2 QB's with a tad more cover (not a lot but still more). If he makes the team it will be as a ST guy and also as a TE/HB in the mold of someone like Hernandez.

If he can accept that role then it would give the pats even more flexibility with the roster. But the reality is he has to beat out Hoomanawanui or Fells. If he can then he has earned his spot and our team is better.


Thats the best case scenario. Worst case is he sucks and we cut him.
